Feel spoilt by the elegance of yesteryear in the 1800’s manor of Mount Pleasant. Dine al fresco beside your private pool at this historic property nestled under Table Mountain. Unwind with a glass of Cape wine in the gracious and romantic guest suite with its own vine-strewn garden, or curl up in an armchair by the grand stone fireplace. The spacious and airy open-plan guest suite is ideal for couples and young families. Centrally located in leafy Newlands, within walking distance of the famous sports stadiums, UCT and SACS. The house has been recently renovated and is a family home, and the property of Mount Pleasant is an interesting slice of Cape Town’s history, dating back to the 18th Century. The guest suite is ideal for a couple or family and consists of: - one large open plan bedroom-lounge (sleeps 3 - 4) - a full kitchen - bathroom with bath, shower, double vanity - a private lap pool - private garden looking up to Table Mountain and Devil’s Peak. In summer, lazing beside the sunny pool, dining outside and having a traditional South African “braai” (barbecue) are a must and in winter the roaring fire, full kitchen and TV provide a warm retreat. The bedroom-lounge is open plan with separate kitchen and bathroom. King size bed, a single sofa bed and a further single bed set up in the suite for 4th guest if required. Cable TV and WiFi are included. On offer are bottles of wine and drinks, laundry and cleaning services. Other extras which may be available are: use of the baronial dining room for meetings (seating for up to 18 people) or special occasions (daytime only). Please note: the pool is NOT fenced and is immediately adjacent to the suite, so please take extra care (therefore the space is not recommended for children who cannot swim). Private garden and pool. Off-street parking for 1 car. Use of the large dining room on request. Guests can enjoy total privacy, but the family and domestic staff are usually at home to welcome you and happy to answer questions and assistance via phone or text.Our friendly dogs: Boris, Frankie, Josh and Pixel will always give you an enthusiastic welcome (but your garden and wing is private so the dogs won’t bother you). Newlands is one of the original leafy suburbs of Cape Town bordering the University and State President’s residence. Lovely and sheltered from summer winds and cafes, restaurants and shops are a stroll away. Newlands is perfectly central for most of Cape Town’s most popular excursions. Table Mountain and cableway, the V&A Waterfront, beaches, wine farms, and the city centre are all within 10-25 minutes' drive and Ubers etc are readily available. The suburb of Newlands itself has many attractions, but to enjoy the full offering of Cape Town we recommend hiring a car or taking a taxi (Uber or call-taxi). Private guides or drivers will also collect directly from the premises. Airport transfers/shuttles/taxis are available at the airport or by booking through a transfer company. POOL Important: the pool is not protected with a net or fence and is immediately adjacent to the suite so please be careful and we do NOT recommend the suite for infants/children who cannot swim. PETS We can accommodate pets on request, but be aware there are resident dogs. EXTRAS Extras, such as wine, can be paid in cash or through the SnapScan App. MEETINGS & FUNCTIONS The baronial dining room can be booked for special meetings and daytime functions (rates/availability on request). It is a handsome room and seats 14-18 people. SHOOTS & LOCATION The Mount Pleasant manor house and grounds may be available for professional photography/film shoots. This would need to be by special arrangement directly with owners or their agents. Rates vary according to specifics of the shoot. (Please note: use of the guest space for commercial shoots would be an extra cost and is not included in the accommodation rate).

This ideally located apartment with snappy wifi speed has been stylishly appointed with an open-plan design enhancing the light & bright feel perfect for remote work or a holiday getaway. The quiet bedroom has a large king bed while the sofa pulls-out into a comfy queen bed in the living room. Longer bookings usually include at least one cleaning per week to freshen-up the apartment for you. Relax, explore, rinse, repeat! Recently renovated and stylishly appointed with open plan kitchen/lounge that feels bright and spacious (62m^2). The apartment is positioned on the side of a beachfront building, providing seaside tranquility, away from the road noise. Open the wall-to-wall windows to smell the fresh sea air! The bedroom is cozy and quiet, featuring a king size bed and Egyptian cotton sheets…a touch of luxury to ensure a good night’s rest after a day of exploring Cape Town. The sofa in the lounge also converts into a comfy queen bed with dimensions 203cm x 152cm (6.5 ft x 5 ft). The kitchen is large and fully-equipped, with an adjoining breakfast bar counter that can be used for food prep, a quick snack or as a workspace. There is one full bathroom, with a shower/tub combo, and a second guest bathroom, with a toilet and sink. The building complex does not have a pool, but the Sea Point Public Pool is across the road (entrance R22 for adults R11 for children). Not your average municipal pool, the Sea Point Pool complex sits right above the seawall and includes multiple saltwater pools, diving boards and an expansive lawn for soaking up the sun. Guests have access to the entire apartment and one permanently allocated secure parking bay. We respect our guest’s privacy, but are happy to answer any questions or provide suggestions on things to see/do. We live close by, should an issue or emergency arise. Sea Point is a vibrant upmarket oceanfront community that has experienced a revival in recent years, with trendy shops, coworking options, and restaurants adding to the hip-but-relaxed urban oceanfront vibe. There is a wide range of amenities within walking distance including coffee shops with fast wifi and shared office spaces. The unit includes secure gated parking for one car, and Ubers are widely available. You can also explore Cape Town via the MyCiti bus, which has an extensive route network. There are several bus stops adjacent to the apartment, and the central Queen’s Beach station is just a couple blocks away. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Sea Point Promenade – which is just across the road – is a great for a morning walk or run, and bicycle rentals are also available. In terms of security, there is a groundskeeper onsite 24/7. There is also a Police station across the road, next to the ticket kiosk at the Sea Point Pool, however, Sea Point tends to be a relatively safe neighborhood. Sea Point is a vibrant upmarket oceanfront community that has experienced a revival in recent years, with trendy shops, coworking options, and restaurants adding to the hip-but-relaxed urban oceanfront vibe. There is a wide range of amenities within walking distance including coffee shops with fast wifi and some shared coworking spaces.

We are not able to accommodate children The first level (ground floor level of the villa)consists of the cosy decorated lounge with flat screen TV, a dining area and the fully equipped little kitchen which can be separated from the lounge by an artfully painted sliding door. A small terrace invites you to sit outside for breakfast or sundowners. From the lounge a staircase leads downstairs to the basement with it's bedroom, a passage to the bathroom(shower only)and the dressing room. The King size bed can be separated and configured into single beds. Our guests are invited to sit in the beautifully landscaped garden on their own terrace with sun loungers and side table or enjoy the big swimming pool . From here stunning views over the whole bay and the surrounding mountains as well as spectacular sunsets will delight your senses. We respect the privacy of our guests yet we enjoy to extend hospitality and the feeling of home from home .We are available under the same roof to advise,support,recommend and help our guests to make their stay a memorable one. Camps Bay offers restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping, and different beaches. It has been officially declared the safest area of Cape Town, due to privately organised street patrols and security companies. The beach is a 15-minute walk away. MyCity bus stop is circa 400m away on Geneva Drive with one route clockwise and another anticlockwise to transport visitors either to town or downhill to the Promenade . Uber taxis or any of the local companies are another option From our house it's a 15 min walk downhill into Camps Bay Security : Street parking only - Camps Bay has been officially declared the safest area of Cape Town The property is fully in and outdoor secured

Folding doors lead onto an expansive pool deck with sun loungers and a gas barbecue all for the exclusive use of the apartment guests. There is a full kitchenette with oven, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer, an en suite bathroom, lounge area with a large flat panel TV and an open-plan dining area. The apartment is serviced daily except for Sundays and public holidays. We have solar and battery power so are not affected by power outages. Mountain Walks, Village atmosphere with a city 10 minutes away. Beach 2km away. The suite is located on the lower level of the property and is totally private. There is parking on the property. Pool, garden, Mountain We are available to transport you around the Cape, take you on wine tours at an additional fee. MacD, our housekeeper is on hand 24 hours to assist where necessary The house is safe and secure with guarded entrance. Wake up to birdsong and enjoy the surrounding majestic mountains. Mount Rhodes is a security estate nestled in the foot of Little Lions Head. Mycity bus stop at the bottom of the road, Uber We provide a laundry service at an additional cost and breakfast is available if ordered at least 24 hours before at an additional cost as well. The bright and airy cottage interior has high vaulted ceilings, together with a selection of books and magazines to read to enjoy in the bed made up with 400TC luxury linen. Battery backed up Wi-Fi and additional lights for surviving load shedding. No smoking allowed on property. Guests have own cottage with a private, shady courtyard. Herbs in planters in courtyard and dart board are available for guests to use as well as lemons on own lemon tree. We're an international family consisting of a South African, a New Zealander and a Norwegian. One of us will always be available on our phones and we're happy to chat and share a G&T on our porch if our guests are up for it! This guesthouse is in a quiet neighbourhood, about 15 minutes by car from town and near to vibrant Harfield. Closer still, the village offers a farm stall, butchery, and supermarket within a short walk, plus coffee shops and lots of restaurants. We always recommend uber for short term stays in Cape Town but there is an off-street sheltered parking available if needs be. 10 minute walk to Kenilworth train station and 2 minute walk from Main Road with frequent taxi buses in both directions. Servicing of cottage and laundry can be done on request. Continental breakfast can be provided on request.

As I have mentioned I am moving overseas but have decide to keep my home on Airbnb, however I will still stay in contact with you regarding booking, questions and queries. I will happily suggest places to visit, eat at and activitiaes to do. I have arranged that someone will meet you to let you in and if you need any personal help on your visit The apartment is on the vibrant busy and ever-changing Greenmarket Square. Within a few blocks is a food lover's market for groceries, as well as infamous Long Street which is skirted with bars, coffee shops, and nightlife. One block away is the city sightseeing stop and office. Long Street and Adderley Street has multiple MyCiti Bus stops, 4 blocks away is the Cape Town Train station for buses and trains. Ther are cab services around where I can give you a number for or Uber is really convenient way to get around.
