Very clean, linen and beds make the the evening rest a good recharge. Being on the Quietside of MDI makes for peaceful mornings and evenings.

This cottage is delightfully cozy in the winter and very charmingly decorated. It’s not just run of the mill decor. The lighting setup is especially great and was put together very thoughtfully. I really enjoyed being IN the spaces that have been created in the cottage - there are several different seating areas for reading a book or sharing a meal or hanging out. The location of the cottage is spectacular with beautiful views from the windows as well as the private garden, private porch overlooking the bay, and more. Fabiola leaves many helpful instructions (often amusing!) and also gives lots of recommendations about the area. In addition to that she is super welcoming, always available, and clearly wants her guests to enjoy themselves. She also lets the guests have privacy. I’m sure the cottage and garden are even better in summer simply because one can spend more time outdoors, but winter has its own beauty in Maine and the cottage is a wonderful place to experience it from.

This home is amazing! It was perfect for our group of ten family members that were in the area to celebrate a wedding for the weekend. Our hosts could not have been more accommodating and we were so impressed with their hospitality!! So many nice touches and such a spacious, comfortable home - no detail overlooked. Enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely return.

This house was very convenient - the owners seem to have thought of everything! I enjoyed the clear labels all around the house so we weren’t guessing about light switches; the robes & slippers provided for the hot tub; and the thoughtful extras like mouth wash, extra toothbrushes, plastic wrap, coffee, and a lot of other things that are handy to have but you might not bring along. Even headlamps with a label, “to look for crabs on the beach at night!” The guest house is very close to the main house but we didn’t run into anyone. The hot tub was great, and unfortunately we didn’t get to explore the waterfront on our overnight but the location was easy to get to. We went to Stonecutters for breakfast and got to see some local towns on the way. A fun place to visit.

What an amazing time I had at this place! I got married to my best friend and we had our families joined together! Everyone cooking every night, beach walks, board games, and fires for when it got a little cold. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding week! Loved staying here! It's a very short walk to Kettle Cove State Park and Crescent Beach. Cape Elizabeth is a charming, quiet little town. If you're looking for a peaceful relaxing getaway spot, this is it. You'll feel right at home. Plus the hosts are very responsive and friendly. I'm already thinking about when I can return!

Our stay at Laurel Shore Cottage was just what we needed. The location was serene - and we spent most afternoons and evenings sitting on the porch soaking in the beautiful landscape and scenery. The cottage itself was uncluttered and comfortable and the host was very responsive.

This place was everything I hoped it would be. Cozy, very close to the beach, and my dog was very relaxed there. The building seems like it has been well maintained and the shower was excellent with great water pressure and a rain feature from the ceiling. The surrounding area was quiet and also dog friendly.

Great location! So walkable. Lovely apartment. Will be coming back!

Our stay at the beach house was great! You couldn't be closer to the water! So much fun kayaking, floating and swimming in the lake! House is much better than the pictures do it justice. For a 2 bedroom house its very big and spacious, beds were extremely comfortable. The no wifi was a little bit of a downer but there were plenty of board games to play. There is some street noise but not bad at all. Would most definitely recommend if you are looking for waterfront property. The access to the resort pool was a plus too for the kiddos!

We had a wonderful time! Going during off season was very peaceful and quiet will definitely book again in the future!

This was exactly what we needed! What a perfect little place. It’s a 30-second walk to the beach and an easy 1.3 mile walk to the downtown area. We walked everywhere and clocked 15 miles per day between the beach stroll in the AM, scooter/jog with my kids to the arcade at 10am, and afternoon/evening walks to the nonstop carnival. The apartment has everything you need and the kitchen is so well stocked with the basics. Such a great place! Perfect for a family visit to the beach. Also, I was surprised by how clean and safe the downtown felt. Ideal for families and young kids. Thank you, Julie!

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights and had the best time. The condo is in the most perfect location right near the beach and the cute town. Our boys loved that we could walk right outside and be able to walk the town and go right to the beach. The condo is absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views of the water. It was so easy to take our boys to the beach being so close. We especially loved enjoying the sunset at night and walking the beach. The pool was also very nice and great for the kids. I can’t wait to come back one day! Thank you Stephen and. Pauline you are a blessing to us! I would give 10 stars if I could!!

I’ve been coming to OOB for years, and have stayed at many places at the beach. This property was immaculate, spacious and it was a lovely stay! It’s about a mile from the beach but it’s great walk along the way-and the beach is accessible with less than a minute walk right across street. We loved it

My husband and I, and our two pups had a fantastic time in the Carriage House for a week. Part of a breathtaking private/secret compound on the water…with the most incredible private tidal pool. The place is so authentic, which is what we love about staying in ME when we can escape. We were so blessed to find Margaret’s place last minute. Margaret’s mother, Sally, and her husband were in the main Kate’s house. So so sweet they were to us and our girls. A dog paradise. We are foodies. Plenty of good restaurants around - just a few minutes to the adorable village of Stonington. Around the corner is one of the best restaurants in the country - Aragosta. We can’t wait to return…hopefully, in the Fall. A trip we will always remember. Thank you, Margaret & Family.

This place is amazing! So cozy and so comfortable! The lake was beautiful and we made plenty of use of the fire pit and kayaks. Stephen was so kind and responsive and made asking questions easy. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Wonderful vacation home with its own water access that had amazing sunrises. The bedrooms were excellent with 3 rooms with king beds, which was perfect for us 3 couples. The open floor plan on the main level had plenty of room for all of us to hang out. The place was very clean, very comfortable, and very quiet. Our host was very quick with any communication and very friendly. This property is perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet on the water with a fanfantastic views.

We had a wonderfully relaxing week at the cottage right on the water! It was cozy and comfortable with all the amenities one needs. Our hosts were very responsive, provided a compilation of restaurants and "things to see and do" in the area - a very useful guide. This cottage is set back from the road and surrounded by a wooded area, so it is very private. The waterfront access was amazing! Rent a kayak - ask Debbie and Annie for the local contact - and enjoy your time kayaking along the beautiful coastline. Ride your bike, go for a run, or for a leisurely walk along the sparsely traveled roads and enjoy the nice scenery! Brink your wet suit and snorkeling set and enjoy looking at the ocean floor and going for a swim. The nearby towns of Ellsworth and Blue Hill have everything you might need. The cottage is spacious, comfortable, and has all of the conveniences needed. Acadia National Park is a must see, and it is a short scenic drive away. We see ourselves coming back to this place!

We just completed our second summer and are still in awe of everything this property has to offer. From the amenities inside to water accessibility, access to many fabulous restaurants, and complete silence from every corner of the property, this house on this island gives you everything you could ever hope for in a summer retreat. George is a fantastic host, extremely responsive, and always willing to help. The property is well-kept, and the house is clean and full of additional supplies. You can't look for much more than what this property offers.

Catherine is an amazing hostess! She is gracious, responsive and a very interesting conversationalist! Meadow Point Cottage is nothing short of an oceanfront paradise with views of the water spanning 270 degrees. Sunrises and sunsets, moonrises and moonsets, beach walks. Just a short drive takes you into Trenton, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The cottage is warm, cozy and beautifully constructed, and the amenities far exceeded our expectations. A top notch vacation spot and we will definitely be returning!

Grande cabine, dans un endroit calme, avec une belle vue. Très bien équipée pour cuisiner, avec beaucoup d'ustenciles ou d'outils. Grand pièce très agréable avec un poêle à bois très facile à utiliser. Un grand deck pour profiter de l'air. Quelques belles randonnées à proximité. Internet rapide. Une chaine bluetooth qui permet de mettre de la joie dans la maison. Merci pour tout.

The house was terrific for our weekend of 8 adults. The location could not be beat - it was a beautiful weekend and being able to walk on the beach so easily was wonderful.
