Incredible place with insanely beautiful views. I had a great time and would happily come back! The staff is very helpful and it’s a quick walk down the hill to town where there are many amazing restaurants. Yelapa is amazing

I had a great stay & would definitely recommend it. It’s such a cute place- the decorations and furniture are really cute and create a cozy stylish environment. The Airbnb manager is really accommodating & helpful. He was there to answer any questions I had, helped me when I needed pesos, and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The AC works great. The kitchen is cute and has everything you need for simple cooking. They provide filtered water as well. It’s a super cute town too with the beach just minutes away. I hope to return some day!

Jerry and Rafael, the on-sight manager, was very flexible and accommodating. We enjoyed the restaurant recommendations and the hot coffee service in the morning. We loved the location right in the hub of Boca by the local boat launch. We enjoyed watching the coming and going of commerce from the deck. It was an enjoyable experience and we want to come back to explore more of what Boca de Tomatlan has to offer.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful place. Rafael was amazing and very helpful. He helped us get taxis, told us great things to do and very knowledgeable about the area. The apartment is close to the water taxis witch we used to go over to Yelapa for the day. Definitely recommend!

Es un departamento muy limpio y cómodo. Tiene vista hacia el mar, por las noches se escucha y es muy relajante. Las personas del hotel son muy amables, nos cuidaron las maletas un día completo para poder ir a Quimixto. Volvería sin duda.

This place was a phenomenon and a unique experience. Nestled in a village full of life but relatively untouched by the passage of time, you will not regret your stay. The surrounding jungle is abundant with life, and the setting is ruggedly adventurous. The host was always prompt and responsive. It was an unknown feeling to be such a minority, though the inhabitants of this beach/fishing/hiking town were kind and gracious. The views from the outdoor living/dining room were unbelievable, and the jungle noises remained a charming feature throughout the stay. One thing to note, you will need a car. Two things to note, you may want to stop for supplies as the restaurants are not always open and there is not a central market. Enjoy!

As you can tell by the many excellent reviews, this place is a gem. I was only able to stay a couple nights but will be returning for sure. I booked last minute and Jerry and the property manager Raphael were both very helpful and responsive. Raphael is the onsite manager and he is an awesome host. The room itself was top tier and has so much character and warmth to it. WiFi/Internet was available but a bit spotty, to be expected considering the remote location, no big deal because you should be in the water taxis to Playa Las Animas anyhow! 10/10, will be back .

This two bedroom casa was very complete with a great view of the bay and the beach area. We utilized the indoor kitchen and dining area with patio and jacuzzi area just outside on the balcony. The living room was quite accommodating with comfortable furniture and a view of the bay. The balcony was especially enjoyable with chairs and lounges allowing both sufficient sunlight and shade for all-day enjoyment of viewing both the beach and the river, not to mention enjoying the jacuzzi. The bedrooms have efficient air conditioning and safes. Pedro and his helpers were very responsive to any issue which might have occurred, and the casa and jacuzzi was perfectly maintained. In short, our stay in beautiful Yelapa could not have been better than at Pedro's Casa Atardecer. The town of Yelapa is populated by a beautiful and kind people. It is a blessing to stay there, and Casa Atardecer only makes it more so.

El llegar a Chonchos es toda una aventura, hay que llegar a Boca de Tomatlán con una horita mínimo de anticipación para guardar el coche y tener en el muelle todo listo, porque al llegar el water taxi se llena en un instante y si se te va (solo pasa 2 veces al día) no hay de otra que pagar una lancha privada $$$. Después de poco más de una hora y de unos hermosos paisajes hasta llegar a chonchos te das cuenta de que vale la pena la odisea. Una vista increíble, una playa tranquila y una cabaña con todo lo necesario para pasarla genial, hay que planear bien las provisiones porque allá o pides a Josefat (el encargado)con mucha anticipación o prepárate para una caminata de 2 horas (ida y vuelta) hacia Chimo el pueblo más cercano, nosotros lo hicimos y es muy pesado pero tiene unas vistas impresionantes. Angie es una gran anfitriona, siempre estuvo en contacto para asesorarnos paso por paso y muchas gracias por el detalle, nos la pasamos genial y fuimos muy felices en tu hermoso lugar.

Wow. Such a gorgeous place! We felt we happened upon a place you only see in the movies! The crazy-amazing house is built into the mountain with views over the ocean. Our bedroom had a wall of windows with French doors that open wide to the balcony, which we left open the entire time, ocean sounds at night. Angelica and Raul were family!, caring, and kind! Coffee every morning, water provided, and they arranged all of our water taxis. They made sure all of our needs were met! My husband and I, and our 2 teens hiked the crazy trail (very challenging and adventurous!, bring hiking shoes) to Playa Colomitos and Playa Madagascar. The next day, Angelica arranged our boat taxi, and we spent the whole day at Las Animas, follow Angelica's recommendations! We loved how everything was out of our norm (we're from Minnesota). The house and the beaches were only accessible by water taxi or hiking. We literally saw a whale while on our mountain hike! and caught it on video! 5 Stars! 💜💜💜💜💜

What a special spot! We had the best week at Casa Journey that started with a private water taxi into yelapa, included a stocked fridge with homemade ceviche, guacamole and salsa. The home was pristine, cleaned as requested and we even enjoyed a homemade meal one night. The views never got old and any help we needed from finding the local market to arranging a fishing trip were addressed quickly. Thank you for sharing your home with us and for ensuring we were well cared for. We loved our time there and would highly recommend Casa Journey to friends.

We absolutely loved staying here. We stayed an extra night and would have stayed longer and not gone to the hotel we had booked if it wasn’t already booked! The house manager Alex is incredibly helpful!! He knows many people in town and was able to help us while we stayed there with whatever we needed and also afterwards, when we were staying at a hotel and needed help! The bathroom and kitchen was beautiful and clean, the bed was super comfortable and the location is peaceful and convenient! We appreciate how the doors are soundproof for if it was noisy outside, which wasn’t often. We definitely plan to return! Muchisimas gracias por todo!!!

The house exceeded expectations in every way, amazing beautiful peaceful location, fantastic response time and helpfulness from Diana, comfortable beds, open uncluttered space, wonderful true Mexican neighbourhood with great people, great walk to beach and waterfalls, atmosphere was relaxing and the river made it tranquil, bathroom and kitchen were clean and well appointed with everything we needed as we enjoy cooking for ourselves, and once again Diana made our trip perfect with everything we needed before, during and after our stay, thank you very much!!

Cabana del Sol is a beautiful place in a remote village. If you want an authentic Mexican experience, this is the place. Amber has everything there you need from plenty of towels, full rigged kitchen, instant and immediate hot water in the bathroom and shopping and hiking bags. Omar at Charlie's bar is great and friendly and will help you with your spanish. His wife makes excellent food and he makes excellent drinks. Raul was our "travel assistant" aswell as our neighbor. He gave us a lot of insight with any questions we had. His girlfriend Cynthia is also just lovely. honestly we cant say enough good things. We only had one complaint at no fault to Amber. There are many roosters in the area that start off at like 3am but you do get used to them. We would definitely recommend to any couple to stay here.

Buen lugar, comodo y confortable en Yelapa

Israel and Erika were wonderful hosts! They were very welcoming and very thoughtful. We have stayed in Mayto for several years and never rented a place with a kitchen, much less a beautiful kitchen like this one! This was a huge plus for us: having a place to cook fish my husband caught on the beach was fantastic. We also loved the very comfortable bed, the view of the ocean, and the proximity to the gorgeous Mayto beach (just a quick walk down the hill!). We were impressed with the Internet speeds in the middle of nowhere! We had a wonderful stay and didn’t want to leave. In fact we accidentally almost stayed an extra night (mix up with our calendar) and Israel was totally gracious about our mistake. This is a really nice house for a rural area!

Chris and Benito are amazing hosts and wonderful people. They are very kind and helpful. The unit itself was outfitted for every need you could think of and had an attention to detail I've not seen in any Airbnb I've ever visited. The view of the bay is breathtaking. The Internet was reliable for remote working.

We felt super lucky to be staying here in Yelapa. The property was really spacious, in the perfect location and we had the Miranda team to hand if we had any questions. The balcony is incredible and the extra communal roof terrace means everything is just easy if you need to wait or check out before your boat. Thank you!!!!

We had an amazing 4 nights in Yelapa. After exploring the area and the town we were even happier about choosing MiraMar. The central location was perfect for us. You could find more secluded places if that’s your goal, but we enjoyed experiencing the local scene plus enjoyed the fresh breeze and ocean sounds. The unit was great.. had all the necessities. Their roof top patio has breathtaking views! We enjoyed sitting on the beach watching the fisherman and families.

Always a great stay at MiraMar. Beautiful, tranquil setting. Lots of personal touches. Nice to have the honor bar upstairs for days when you don't feel like walking over to the market. Central but peaceful.

We loved our stay at MiraMar! The views are spectacular, Yelapa is gorgeous, and we had everything we needed. We really loved it and we'll be back again.
