Lovely few days stay, Hayley was very friendly and helpful. Cottage is stunning, much bigger than the photos show and had everything’s we needed. Beds very comfy and big en-suites in every room (although there was only 2 of us) secure garden for our two miniature dachshunds which was great. Location is very peaceful and quiet. Can recommend lunch at the Cumberland which was about a 10 minute walk away. Would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful cottage. Was perfect for us and the dogs. Fully enclosed fenced garden with a gate down to a quiet riverside walk. The hottub was huge and warm ready for our arrival. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen. We only stayed for 1 night so cannot comment on the local area as we did not do much exploring but we noticed a spar walking distance just down the road and a few cafes.

Gatecroft barn (& spa!) is a delightfully quaint little cottage in a fairly remote part of the North Pennines area. My wife and I were looking for somewhere almost off grid, from which we could walk our dog, enjoy walks together and indulge in a spot of fell running. We needed it to be not tooooo far from some kind of shops and close enough to drive if we fancied somewhere special to eat. We were also looking for somewhere with a little something else, a cherry on top. Well we found that, in spades! Garrigill is picturesque and then some. There are walks/ runs from the front door! The cottage is well equipped. The hot tub (the cherry on top!) is perfect for after the adventurous days in the great outdoors - hygiene and cleanliness of which is exemplary. The host was as helpful as you could hope for (def one of the better hosts we’ve come across!) and made some great recommendations - most of which we used and welcomed! Including a meal at Langley Castle. We’ll definitely go back… 5*

Our stay at The Stables was heaven. Paul welcomed us and showed us around and had even set up the hot tub for us arriving. The house was immaculate with everything you could possibly need and beautifully decorated too. We loved the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. The garden was beautiful and so peaceful and our two dogs loved it, it was completely secure for them which meant we could relax. The view from the garden and the location were wonderful, it was just what we needed. We didn’t want to leave and would love to come back sometime soon. Thank you for being wonderful hosts and for our cheeseboard and Prosecco it was such a thoughtful touch.

Beautiful home, very spacious and plenty of amenities. felt right at home! perfect for toddlers too. Ian was great, very helpful and easily contactable.

Our stay was fantastic. Daniel was very helpful with recommendations of local things to do, which was very helpful with a toddler and to catch-up with the in-laws. Beautiful property that was comfortable. All the little details have been thought of from setting up a bed for our toddler to the care package of tasty local food. Daniel was helpful and answered questions about where to go to entertain the family in all weather's. Thank you. We look forward to staying again!

Staying at The Distillery was an absolute dream. Communication with Margaret was outstanding and we felt immediately welcomed. The welcome pack and touches were really appreciated. Location was fantastic and we could travel into the Lakes with ease, within Dumfries and Galloway, and even got the train to Edinburgh for a day out with ease. Evenings were spent relaxing in the hot tub under the stars. You won't be disappointed if you book here!

We went to the Lake District last year and had to come back this year, Keswick didn’t disappoint and we thought it was better than Windermere! Our host was excellent with their communication and the information they provided, making it easy to find and check in to their property. Lovely cute cottage with everything you need. Also gave some great local recommendations and the digital guide they provided was really useful. We are a family of 3 with an 11 year old daughter and had plenty to do. The cottage is in the perfect location and a short walk to all the cafes, restaurants, shops, parks and pubs (plenty of craft beers) My favourite shop was an independent book store called Bookends - a book lovers heaven! Can recommend - hike up to the summit of Catbells, hiring bikes to do the Keswick to Threlkeld route (10km flat) - amazing tea room in Threlkeld, Fitz Park is on your doorstep, Rookin House for horse riding and adventures and a walk around Derwent Water. Lots of memories made.

First class accommodation in a beautiful area. Having the garden is a bonus with lovely walk to the Solway beach.

Outstanding cottage, would love to come back soon! The photos don’t do it justice! It’s even better when you’re there. Spotlessly clean, beautiful kitchen/dining room and comfortable bed. The views from the back garden were fab! I can’t recommend this enough, would have happily stayed there longer and will definitely return. It was a lovely gesture that Kate even baked for us!! Gorgeous cosy little cottage in beautiful surroundings. Excellent location close to Roman sites and lots of lovely villages. The property was spotless and had all the amenities, although we couldn’t find a toaster (wasn’t a big problem as we just used the grill). Trains can be loud but they are few and far between at night and didn’t wake our baby up so no damage done! Helpful instructions from the hosts prior to check in, and the lock box allowed us to have flexible check in. Would absolutely stay here again as there was plenty more we didn’t get chance to see 😊 thanks for a great stay!

Had a lovely stay at hilltop cottage. The cottage was beautifully decorated and we felt right at home. The bathtub was amazing, and the little touches like marshmallows for hot chocolate by the fire was a great touch.

Lovely cottage in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, Diane has thought of everything and the little extras like the dog blankets/bowls were very much appreciated. The wood burner made us extra cosy when we had a rainy evening. Great to have parking and somewhere near to exercise our dog. An ideal location , we had days out to Kielder Forest & Seahouses as well as exploring the Roman fort sites. Would definitely recommend this cottage and hopefully we will be back. Thank you.

We had a lovely few days stay at Ruth and Chris’ place. They had thought of everything you might want or need, and the place was impeccably clean - would strongly recommend. Beautiful location.

A few days away after the Easter BH weekend in the lakes and we couldn’t have chosen a better base. Steve was fantastic host and showed us around when we arrived. He also sent a great little itinerary if we wanted to visit any of the main areas which was also really good. The property and facilities were exactly as described (literally a home away from home) and we settled in right away. We only had a few night here but are already looking at planning a return. We had an exceptional stay at Manesty ! The location in was absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery that made the visit truly special. The area was calm and peaceful, providing the perfect retreat from daily life. The host's instructions were clear, making the check-in process seamless. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the Lake District in a serene and relaxing

Really relaxing stay, lovely views from the cottage and hosts very welcoming but still felt private.

Erika is an outstanding host. the cottage wa immaculate, it felt clean, fresh, with enough space for 3 couples or a family of 5-6. it felt very cosy, practical. we had a fully equipped kitchen for our meals, towels and hand soaps for the bathroom (do bring shower gel as I forgot to). I loved to natural light on the top floor. the cottage was comfortable and of very good standards. Erika was available if we had questions and provided some recommendations on arrival. I wanted somewhere nice while being a driving distance of swimming and hiking spots so it's been ok.

The Vault is the perfect place to stay while visiting Hexham. It really was a home from home. Super clean, cosy and a great location. Alex was a great, friendly host. Can’t recommend Alex and The Vault highly enough. Thank you Alex

Second time my husband and I stayed here. It didn't disappoint, a wonderful home from home in a peaceful and beautiful location. The accommodation is warm and very comfortable.

This is a great place. We could’ve done with longer - struck gold with the weather so didn’t use the leisure facilities as much as we might have. Really well placed for visiting Keswick and Penrith. Whinlatter Forest took us about 30 mins to get to - great for walks, bikes, cafe.

Lovely little cottage. Great location , easy walk into town centre and the bonus of a parking space. Cottage itself was clean and well equipped for the two of us. Friendly host with good communication.

We really enjoyed our stay at Keeper’s Cottage. Exactly what we needed for a post Christmas de-stress. The kids loved exploring the garden and Amy is a super helpful host, going above and beyond to make sure you have an enjoyable stay.
