Nature cocoons you and you can reach out and touch the trees, see wildlife all around you amongst the pines. With breathtaking views through the tress and across the valley you are completely private having no other accommodation on the site making this a truly unique and special experience. No.2 West Layton Manor is part of an Historic Victorian Manor House built in 1872. The property provides the perfect setting for families and friends gathering for special occasions or holidays in beautiful North Yorkshire. The property boasts 6 kingsize bedrooms equipped with 6 full ensuite bathrooms. A further 7th bathroom is located on the ground floor. There are 3 large reception rooms, 2 open log fires, and approximately 1/2 an acre of gardens. There is private parking for 8 vehicles.

Outside is a patio garden & furniture. Enter via a double height dining hall, to an open plan kitchen and living room, traditionally furnished with exposed beams and deep window recesses. Downstairs is a large bathroom (bath & walk in power shower). Upstairs two large bedrooms with reading chairs.

Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

Low Green Barn, located in Tranquil Teesdale

Low Green Barn is a converted barn, attached to our family home and located in the middle of the village of Mickleton. Before booking, please bear in mind we offer limited cooking facilities, with no oven or grill. We can provide you with local recommendations for eating out. Driveway parking is shared with owners and can accommodate one guest vehicle. Owners Tessa and Dave live in the adjoining main farmhouse and are available via text/in person if needed.
