Brockram Barn is simply stunning. We had a wonderful family holiday - there was everything we could possibly want, and more! Of course, the hot tub and table tennis were fun extras, but Harriet had thought of everything and equipped the home to an extremely high standard and, as a family of five, we had plenty of space. We loved the area and did many of the suggested walks and activities, plus a few more! It was so good to be amongst the sheep, surrounded by green fields and wildlife with beautiful, ever-changing views. Thank you, Harriet and family, for a truly great time!

We had an incredible experience staying at Billy's property! From the moment we arrived, Billy was an outstanding host, making sure everything was perfectly in place and ready for our arrival. The house was spacious and easily accommodated all 6 of us with plenty of room to spare. One of the highlights of our stay was being greeted with freshly baked blueberry muffins – a thoughtful and delicious touch that made us feel right at home. The house had all the amenities we needed, making it feel just like our own home. We particularly enjoyed the private access to the property and the hot tub, which was a great way to unwind after a day of exploring. Blimey, we loved this. I am tempted to tell everyone about it but we want it all to ourselves! We had such a holiday, great kitchen, big open central space, luxury beds, amazing showers, fabulous decking area with massive window / door, hot tub, the indoor barbeque (which we called the pudding hut, we want one!), the outdoor fire, the walks, the ease of getting into Alston. Struggling to find anything to fault, maybe only the sound travelling between the lounge and bedrooms. Just recommend earplugs and going to bed at the same time!

We had an amazing stay. Spotlessly clean with quality furnishings and comfy beds. The location is beautiful and being enclosed is ideal for pets and children. We would love to stay again

Great location, around the corner from the Metro. Exceeded expectation as haven't used air BnB before. Hosts were helpful. A lovely place, highly recomend!

What a perfect place to stay with all of the family from 11 months to 80+yrs of age. Accessibility for my mum was excellent with walk in showers and sofa chairs easy to get in and out of. A travel cot and high chair provided for the youngest member of the family. A dishwasher including the tablets along with a fully equipped kitchen, plastic glasses for use in the hot tub ideal with a glass of wine or too. Our two dogs enjoyed lots of walks and it was brilliant that the garden was fully enclosed and safe for them too. Sarah the host was lovely nothing was too much trouble, little touches like jigsaws and board games where available and the barn had been decorated for Christmas to make you feelst home. The barn was in a beautiful location with lots of walks and a local pub ( booking is essential). If your into astronomy go to Grassholme Observatory I learnt so much and the dark skies are awesome. We had a lovely New Years break and would highly recommended Sunrise Barn for families.

such a loverly house. owner has thought about everything you could possibly need and more. a really loverly enclosed garden that was perfect for our 15 month old grandson. a minutes walk to Helmsley square for the shops cafes pubs and restaurants.

Susan was a lovely host and we loved our cosy stay at the comfy and clean cottage. Great for the dog and baby, loved seeing the animals. The kitchen was perfectly equipped. A bargain stay!

The flat was warm and cosy on arrival and remained so despite the January weather. The welcome gift was a lovely touch. The front windows caught the winter sun all day, with great views over the Tyne. It was comfortable, relaxing and quiet, just what was needed. The location is excellent for all the village amenities and for the metro station, perfect for trips out to the wider Tyneside area with its wide variety of interesting places. The acid test is whether we'd go again - the answer is a resounding yes.

This is a real gem of a place situated in the most beautiful surroundings . Fantastic walking straight from your door, bird song galore and so much more . Trish is a wonderful host , very welcoming and nothing seemed too much trouble . We were greeted with delicious homemade cake , fresh flowers and a basket of treats . I would highly recommend Trish's beautiful home and really hope to be back again one day so much more to explore . Thank you Trish for a wonderful time . Emma

A lovely little place to stay! Warm, comfortable & Cosy! And such a quiet location, it was so peaceful

West Cottage perfect for a family of 4 with 2 boys, looking to get out into the countryside and explore the area. Beautiful location, photos don’t do it justice, surrounded by green hills, sheep and with a brook below the garden. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves which meant we could use the wave machine, hot tub and games room whenever we wanted after days out. Also enjoyed having our meals out on the lawn. Cottage had all we needed, comfy beds and kitchen well-equipped.

We loved the remoteness of the cottage, the peace & quiet. Loved the pool & hot tub which is a must if we don't stay coastal.You definitely need a car to access any shops as the nearest shop is 2.3 miles and this closes at 5. No pubs within walking distance and some pubs only opened certain days and opened at 6. However that's what makes the place attractive & peaceful. Lots of places to visit with 10 mile radius. Great walks and historical sites to see. Beautiful landscape. Cottage was very snug & comfortable.

Just as advertised: such a great cosy space in fact that our “anti-AirBnB” 7-year-old decided she loved it and felt right at home. The place has all you need and is an 8-minute walk from great food, coffee, and more in charming Bellingham. We’ll be back for sure!

Wir hatten ein paar sehr schöne Tage im „Farm Cottage“! Der Hof ist ruhig und wunderschön und unsere kleine Tochter war begeistert von den vielen Tieren. Das Pool Haus mit Trainings- und Hobbyraum ist ein tolles Extra, genauso die frischen Eier von den eigenen Hühnern, Holz für den Ofen und der Service, das Waschhaus inkl. Waschmaschine und Trockner zu nutzen. Die Kommunikation mit Chris und seiner Frau war perfekt. Wir waren sehr traurig, dass wir nur ein paar Tage da waren. Ein kleiner Hinweis für große Menschen: Die Dusche ist sehr, sehr niedrig ;) Also entweder baden, im sitzen duschen oder am besten einfach die Dusche im Pool Haus nutzen!
