It is one half of two charming rustic cottages set on a single plot on a leafy side-street. This cottage is wedged in a "grove" of tall majestic pine trees that provide an abundant supply of shade and breeze, pine cones, needles and all. It is great for families with children and a short walk (.4 of a mile) through the neighborhood to the beach.

In the beautiful and quaint village of Cape Porpoise, Kennebunkport, you’ll find our cottage, just two doors down from Nunans Lobster Hut and a 3-minute walk to Cape Porpoise Kitchen and Bradbury’s Market. Built in 1880, and after a complete renovation, we’d love to have you as our guests! We added many windows, to bring the outdoors in. Lots of light! The two added balconies make for a wonderful place to sit and talk or just stare into space. Lots of stars! Air conditioning!

Our home, a renovated 1930’s Maine summer cottage, is located 1 mile from Kennebunk beaches and 1.5 miles from dining and shopping in Kennebunkport’s Dock Square. Close to golf, nature trails and only a 1/2 mile from the Mousam River for fishing and kayaking, it’s a great location to take in all southern coastal Maine has to offer. The cottage provides plenty of outdoor space, so come relax, dine on the back deck and take in the night sky with s'mores by the fire pit.

Taproot Cottage is cozy, quiet, comfortable and nestled in the beautiful White Mountain foothills of Brownfield, ME. Just one mile from the Stone Mountain Arts Center, 30 minutes to North Conway, NH, and easy access to hiking trails, mountain vistas, and the Lakes Region of western Maine. It is our only cottage with a claw foot bath tub. The cottage has a fully stocked kitchen with pots and pans. The cottage also has a private deck with a gas grill. A short walk, and you are at the 7 mile stretch of sandy beach and pier. Yes we allow pets.
