We were originally drawn in by the hot tub and remote location, but the moment we arrived, we were blown away. The view and surroundings were stunning, and the rustic exterior of the cabin was charming. The screened porch with the hot tub and cozy seating was a highlight. Inside, the cabin was beautifully finished with detailed wood trim, modern bathrooms (yes, two!), comfy beds, and a well-stocked kitchen. The wood stove with plenty of firewood and heated floors added a luxurious touch. Extras like USB chargers, strong Wi-Fi, TVs in every room, and modern lighting made it even better. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Charming and Cozy in an amazing location! I plan to return in the summer and enjoy the beach, fire pit, rockhounding, watching the freighters and exploring. The location is a great launching point for many day trips within an hour or two of the cabin. And the beach access really is steps away from the door! We played outside all day and then played Catan and Uno at night. The kitchenette had everything we needed to prepare meals. There is an entertainment center set up with Roku and a dvd player with movies and some games. The beds were both very comfortable with quality linens and blankets and great pillows. The porch is darling, birdfeeders all around and lanterns and lights for night. Kelly was the perfect host, very quick to respond, knowledgeable of the area, and a pleasure to communicate with! I highly recommend this cabin for one or two people. Perfect for a cozy getaway, beach fun and day trips. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Rustic, private and peaceful retreat. No outside distractions only nature. The half mile Loop was great for walking our dogs and we did it every day. We were halfway between Mackinaw City and Petoskey. Both were great to visit and walk the dogs. We found parks and trails all around to hike and enjoy.

Elizabeth's place was perfect for our snowmobile group! Trails were right there and easy to get to. The view at the house was perfect, it was private and just beautiful all around. Check in and out was so easy and communication was great! Thank you for sharing your place with us, we had a blast!

We enjoyed our stay on the lake. Had a bonfire and saw the northern lights from the backyard.! Ran in to an issue but the answering service and host were very friendly and responsive, got it solved quickly. Would recommend

It was our second time here and it was just as nice as the first time. we had a wonderful long weekend on the water and relaxing by the fire!

Exceeded expectations. Woodstove cooking was awesome. My kids made steak, chicken, brats, veggies, eggs, and bacon on it. We also dropped a piece of bacon and we learned the smoke detector works super well! Ha! We visited Whitefish Point, Tahquamenon Falls, Goatlocker Saloon, and Paradise markets. All were easily accessible from the cabin. If you want to have an outhouse experience also, this is the place for you! My kids loved seeing the mushrooms and watching their poop the entire weekend. Nothing quite teaches kids about the earth than understanding how the earth helps clean our waste! :) There were lots of conversations about what they saw in the outhouse. We had some outlets that didn't work (per our own electrical knowledge) and our host was responsive and considerate. I felt well taken care of. Christy is the type of host airbnb should be proud to have use their service. The 13-year-old wants me to reserve it in February for snowmobiling. That's how cool that space is.

Our stay was perfect! Michelle was very responsive to any questions and the house was comfortable and clean. We will definitely stay there again!

This is my second stay at Don's family camp, and I'll continue to book here when it's available. Don is one of the most responsive hosts I've know, and I've stayed in over 30 Airbnb's. If you're looking for something remote, but still have basic amenities plus a couple extra perks like a sauna and outdoor fire pit ... this is the place. If phone and internet service are critical, you might want to look south of the Mackinac Bridge. For my needs, I hope Don and his family continue to share their camp.

We had a peaceful spring weekend at this cabin in the UP. The neighborhood was incredibly quiet and we slept great on the comfortable mattress. Our favorite part was the upstairs sitting room. It has an expansive view of Lake Huron (Hessel Bay). We were grateful for the central heating system and available space heater as the nights were cool. As other guests have mentioned, the cabin is on well water that smelled and tasted bad. Be sure to bring along a few jugs of bottled water from home or the grocery store. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved staying here. It was extremely clean and easy to find. It’s not too far from anything and very quiet. The deer head started me when I first came inside but eventually else was perfect and it may be the cleanest place I ever stayed.

Ashel's space was amazing. Exactly as described and had everything we needed. Beautiful space with a great view of Lake Huron and the ships passing by. We even saw an eagle and swans. We were here for Christmas and the heated floor was a pleasant surprise. We were never cold. We look forward to staying here again.

We had an amazing weekend getaway as a family! The pull out couch was perfect for two little boys and the bed in the room was very comfortable! Even with the massive amounts of snow the beach was beautiful and there were so many rocks to check out. 3 minutes down the road was a beautiful lighthouse and a long stretch of beach for when the boys needed to run it out. Plenty of hiking trails around the area and just under an hour to the falls which we love! Stephanie was such a delight everytime I had any questions. She responded quickly to everything and I could just sense that she had such love for her space and loved to share it with others. I’ve never felt like a host was so genuine and I wasn’t just receiving automated messages. Lastly, delicious pizza spot 10 minutes down the road, we had pizza 2/3 nights we stayed here. This cabin was such a treat even in the off season.

What a great place! Cozy cabin from the past and yet all the modern conveniences you could want. Very private, the surrounding area felt very safe. Walked along the service road and was greeted with a wave by almost every vehicle that passed. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

We’ve stayed here a couple times and keep coming back because we love it! The views are breathtaking over the water. The location feels secluded but is close to things if you need to run out. The place is clean and so cozy inside. Jody is quick to communicate and makes the whole process a breeze! We had a lovely time just hanging out back with our pups and hope to come back again.
