Our weekend girls' trip getaway to Susanne's pastoral family homeplace was absolutely wonderful, as this property is truly its own point of interest! While all bed/bath/kitchen provisions were top notch and well exceeded a typical amenity checklist, the thing that comforted us the most was a warm and open welcoming into the doors of this historic family home. From classic furnishings and sturdy wares, old photos and whimsical trinkets, interesting nooks and mysterious crannies, peaceful porch seating and delightful cow parades, abundant trees and beautiful flowers... we felt like we were right at home. Although we could have been perfectly content staying parked on the property our entire stay (and may plan to do just that for our next visit) we opted to enjoy a lovely drive for a day hike to a stunning waterfall in Shenandoah National Park, and went in to Charlottesville for some shopping on the pedestrian mall. We 100% recommend this historic property and Susanne's warm hospitality!

Bill's awesome. My family spent Thanksgiving at his place and I reached out ahead of time to find out if there's a mixer for our whipped cream. I would've brought mine from home, but within 2 minutes, he had ordered one to be delivered prior to our arrival! He responded to my questions within minutes. Adorable kitchen worked well for our TG prep. Dining room is in a cozy window-laden spot that was perfect for doing puzzles. Bedrooms have really comfy beds and linens. Bathroom is small, but has everything you need - plenty of fresh thick towels and the water pressure is impressive. Ping-pong table = fun. Backyard was perfect for our dog when we didn't have the time to spend in Court Square Park, conveniently located right down the road. There are two off-street well-lit parking spaces. And the location is fun - eat, drink and shop; catch a movie; just walk around and stumble upon a street performer. All good. UVA is a short walk down Main Street, cideries and wineries a short drive. Go!

Hands down one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had! The place was absolutely perfect—clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Juan went above and beyond, always responsive and helpful with any questions I had about the home or the area. If you’re lucky enough to find this place available, don’t hesitate—book it! I’ll definitely be coming back if I’m ever in the area again.

We had a great stay at the Critzer House. It was just as described and perfect for our two families of four. Plenty of room for all of us to hang out together or retreat to separate spaces for some quiet time. The sunroom was great for starting the day with coffee and finishing with adult beverages. The location was ideal...30 minutes or less to incredible hikes, breweries, wineries, and distilleries. Easy walk to Blue Mountain Brewery for dinner after a long day exploring the beautiful surrounding area.

Sarah couldn’t have been a better host. She’s so nice, accommodating, and understanding. She had the place clean as a whistle and is very responsive. Lots of space, comfortable beds, peaceful surroundings. There are lots of bathrooms, too and privacy. She was the best!

Melina’s place worked super well for us while visiting Charlottesville. Very convenient location just minutes from UVA, dining, and restaurants. We really enjoyed the outdoor space and the home had many thoughtful touches along with a great coffee selection. We hope to book again any time we are visiting our son at UVA.

We had a large family group with an 8 month old, 18 month old and 4 year old. Space was great with several pack n plays and some toys and lots of books. ( no high chair tho). Kitchen is large and has every possible gadget and appliance ! Jennifer welcomed us with snacks and drinks and even breakfast fare and coffee and tea! Just. wonderful. Beds very comfy. Bathrooms were nice with lots of supplies and tons of towels. Jennifer communicated so So fast and was always helpful. Highly recommend her as a host and the house was great. Enjoy your stay !

Great place, clean house, fun to be on a working farm for the weekend. Only note is there is no central air conditioning so bringing fans for upstairs bedrooms is helpful.

We loved our stay in Charlottesville! Katie’s place was super cool and we wish we had more time there. It was walking distance to several great little spots and walking distance to the main town. The place was clean and had a beautiful garden upstairs. Thank you Katie for a wonderful stay!

Carolyn's place was very clean and quiet. The decor is on the older side, but everything worked well and was very comfortable. Easy to walk to all the downtown shops and restaurants, which was wonderul! Also very nice to have our own driveway for convenient parking.

Spacious basement with ability to cook and do laundry. Just what I needed for the week! Loved that I could walk out onto the greenway for walks and runs. Easy and plentiful street parking.

Peter was responsive and generous. I was visiting Charlottesville and he offered his own oven for me to make some dishes. His place is clean and was nice and warm during the cold nights. I would stay here again when visiting. Thanks Peter for being a great host.

Had a wonderful stay in Charlottesville for our annual girls trip. Home was exactly as pictured. Very centrally located to downtown and a block away from great restaurants and bars. I would definitely rent this property again.

The home was great! Matched the description and pictures online. It’s a perfect location. The neighborhood was beautiful and had hiking trails within a half mile. Downtown was just a 5-10 minute drive. We loved the game room and fresh eggs from the chickens in the yard!

Lisa is a fantastic host! Her place is nestled in a quiet residential section not far from downtown Charlottesville. The place was clean, comfortable, and well decorated. What really made the stay great was Lisa's attention to detail (e.g. providing a a few snacks, automated lights in strategic places, extra blankets and linens were easy to find, and a cell phone charger provided in convenient location). Would definitely stay here again.

We were very comfortable here and the whole place was very clean and had everything we needed. Jodi communicated quickly if I had questions. It was very peaceful and serene and we hope to go back on our next trip to palmyra in the fall!

We really enjoyed it! Walking distance to all of downtown, the train was a little loud but not too bad!

Feels like home, well decorated that makes the stay cozy and comfortable. The kitchen has quartz countertop stacked with kitchenware to prepare a healthy home meal. They have everything I would need in my stay from a multi-device charging station, very fast internet, etc.

My group stayed at Isaac's place for a weekend to attend a concert at JPJ Arena. His condo is conveniently located to the arena (10min ride share), lots of walkable activities & food options next door on the Downtown Mall, and the living space was clean with basic amenities. I would highly recommend his space and will likely be booking it in the future! Thanks Isaac!

Loved, loved, loved this condo. The pictures did not do it justice. Very spacious and inviting at the same time. Isaac was responsive and helpful. We are already looking forward to booking it again next year! Thanks Isaac for a great weekend!!

We had a great stay! Very walkable and lots to do very close by. It is noisy but Melissa states that a provides lots of options to overcome. And the location is so great, hard to complain about that! Super cute, was great for our girls weekend!

What a charming apartment in a fantastic location. We were close to everything we wanted to do. The apartment itself was so charming, clean, and full of amenities. It was the perfect spot for four moms getting a weekend away! We loved it!

I have absolutely no reservations recommending Angelique’s Airbnb. We had a terrific two months stay here, Angelique is very responsive, property is as described. It has comfortable beds and living room and even walkable to the closest shopping area. Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a place in Charlottesville
