An ideal ‘base camp’ as you explore the National Park and surrounding area. Light a fire and get lazy, chill out in the hottub, star-gaze at the incredible night skies, or just take in the majestic Pen y Fan as you plan (or recover from) your ascent.

The little lodge

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil, self contained getaway. A rustic, little lodge with a pretty kitchen Including a small fridge, grill / hob, kettle and coffee machine. A shower room. Breakfast table. Living room with a smart television. A cosy, mezzanine bedroom with double bed. There is a small, private garden to the front. This is a 1 bedroom cabin and is not suitable for children or pets. Vehicular access to this listing is via a farm track with 3/4 of a mile of VERY BUMPY potholes. The first thing visitors notice is “the view”. The Bunkhouse offers a unique perspective on secluded Pwlldu Bay. Atop limestone cliffs, The Bunkhouse is nestled in Wales’ first AONB. Retreat from the bustle of city life, pause and connect with the wild, and relax to the sound of the sea as the Gower coast unfolds before you.

The Lodge is set in a one acre site enclosed by a 5ft high wall, and away from the main road providing a safe, relaxing and quiet environment. The Lodge is well placed, within 10 minutes of The National show caves for Wales, Henrhyd waterfall and the hugely impressive Four Waterfalls country. In addition, if you want to get high, the property is located only 15 minutes from Zip World and 30 minutes from Pen Y Fan. If you prefer beaches we are 30 minutes from Swansea bay and the Mumbles.

We’re set at the foot of the Brecon Beacons National park. We welcome couples, families, groups of 4, and of course pets. 🐶 We’ve added a little bit of luxury to our ‘cottage in the hills’ setting with the addition of our beautiful hot tub. Our location is surrounded by fantastic walks, rivers, waterfalls, and a pub 100yds from the front door. After a day out enjoying the fresh air, why not come home to a private dip in the hot tub, and a snooze in front of the log burner.
