We had a wonderful time, 4 girl friends, 1 child, 3 dogs! A fantastic weekend away to visit friends close by for a birthday. We got a sunny day and a stormy day and both were perfect for this house. Enjoy it all weathers. We made the most of the hot tub, cooked together in the kitchen, played games and watch some VHS! Cozy peaceful sleeps. Beds comfy, lots of towels available and bathroom amenities. We will definitely be staying again.

Did not disappoint. Amazing views! The hot tub was HOT!!! And located close to downtown.

If you are looking for a great place to relax, Max & Meela’s place is the spot! The property was so spacious and peaceful. They provided everything we needed for our 3-day stay. Dog and elderly friendly! Loved the vibe of the house as it created a peaceful environment for us to enjoy some family time. It’s 5 minutes away from a convenience store and only a 20 minute drive from Collin’s Lake, where you can rent boats, fish, and swim in the beautiful and scenic waters. Overall a great experience!

We waren op zoek naar stilte en rust. Dat hebben we bij Max en Meela gevonden. Wat een pracht van natuur rondom hun huis. Er waren Pauwen, kippen en twee lieve honden. Heel fijn dat we hun keuken en specerijen konden gebruiken. En het dek was een ideale plek om van de stilte te genieten. Wel fijn dat er geweldige wifi was. Dat maakte onze zoektocht in de omgeving makkelijk. Bedankt voor jullie gastvrijheid!!

We had a great stay! Everything was clean and pretty well stocked. Loved the hot tub, basketball hoop, fenced in backyard, outside ambiance lights, responsive host, and the peaceful views from the porch.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! We were impressed by the craftsmanship of the home and deck (we both have construction backgrounds). It was very private and peaceful. Beautiful views of tall oaks around the deck. Hosts were very sweet and responsive. We frequently use air bnb and this was one of the best locations we have ever stayed at. Very close to downtown Nevada City and great dining/small shops. But our favorite part was just enjoying time using the spa amenities and unplugging. Host provided slippers and a speaker for spa which was great. We even got some sweet snuggles from their orange cat Ginger who checked in on us (which we loved). The only downside was that the next day was already booked and we couldn’t stay longer. Looking forward to an extended visit here in the future.

A lot of attention to detail was what I noticed. When I arrived, everything I needed and wanted was right there, even things that are important like a super comfortable bed, with high-quality linens. The place was adorable, spacious and relaxing. Perfect for what I needed, I’ll definitely be back again.

The cabin was clean, comfortable, not too far from town. We had a great weekend, recommending to everyone.

The place was perfect for a weekend getaway and we truly enjoyed our stay. The creek is beautiful and the deck is perfect to hang out on while listening to nature. The hot tub was so relaxing. The place is at a perfect location to get to the heart of Nevada City by walking making getting places so easy. It was so clean and comfortable. We did have to move some of the decor so our toddler couldn’t access it (and break it) but we did and all was well!

We loved the place but, there were a few things that could have been better. We didn’t receive the entry instructions until 30 minutes prior to our arrival. It was a little scary driving several hours without being sure that we were going to be able to get into the cabin. Communion with Teya was quick but I provided a photo of my ID several times and was still sent emails saying that I hadn’t done it yet. Teya apologized for not seeing it and was very pleasant but it was still extra work and time that I didn’t have. The cabin was beautiful and clean but there were definitely some missed opportunities for welcoming their guests. They’re very strict with check in and out times which I respect but for the money I would have thought there would have been some sort of Tupperware or even aluminum foil in the kitchen and that I wouldn’t have to strip all the beds before checkout. I would definitely here again. The cabin and the area are beautiful.

This was our second time staying here because we had loved it so much the first time. It’s a comfortable and spacious cabin in a gorgeous location that is quiet and secluded, right by the river. The house is clean, with many amenities, and the hosts provide clear instructions for everything.

We loved our stay at this property! Would definitely love to come back, great hosts, very comfy.

We have been to the Bass Kickin Cabin many times and we just love it. We love fishing in the pond and the kids love the paddle boat. Sitting at the table on the covered dock in the evening watching the sun setting and all the migratory birds flying by is a real treat. It’s a short trip to the Yuba river and not too far from Bullards Bar for boating and picnicking. The Holiday Market is a lovely store to get all the fixings you need for meals. We always look forward to spending time at the Bass Kickin Cabin.

We loved being at this cabin for 2 months. It was comfortable for our family of four. Our kids enjoyed the property tremendously it’s a beautiful piece of land not too far from downtown and close to the river. It had everything we needed and the host was great. We will recommend it to family coming into town for visits.

Property is honestly even more beautiful and serene than the pictures. We rented it for a bachelor party, and it was perfect. Great property for a large family getaway, as well. Had some minor trouble with the door code, but Laura was in immediate contact to help. Will likely rent again!
