Fox Den - Lovely location in the heart of Yakutat

This was our second stay at the Fox den, and I'll stay there again next time I go to Yakutat. The Fox Den is located in a quiet neighborhood, it's clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable extended stay. It's beginning to feel like a home away from home. Mark is an excellent host. The Bear Den

Nicholas was nothing but a great Host for our NWC Artist. He was very helpful when it came to directions to the cabin as well as accommodating when it came to housing and Car rentals. I would definitely recommend for future stays in Yakutat. Our Artist had nothing but good things to say about his stay at the Bear Den, like how peace and quiet it is out there. He also mentioned how space-ish the car rental was and how easy it was to get around in it. If you are debating to rent this Airbnb, just do it. You won't regret it!

The place was great, Adam was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Our crew really enjoyed staying there and loved the view. It was in a great location and the house was very clean and organized.

This is an amazing getaway spot that represents everything we love about remote Alaska — peaceful, beautiful views, private, and slow paced living. We live in Yakutat seasonally and will definitely be booking this spot again for a fun getaway!

Lodging in Yakutat is tough in the summer, and I needed 3 weeks. Was looking at another one of his rentals but it wasn't available. He was proactive and let me know he had another property that would work (this one). Mark went above and beyond in communication and answered all my questions. We had a surprise bonus. The rental is actually NICER than the pictures you see on Airbnb! Mark was incredibly accommodating to our needs, and we will 100% rent again if he'll have us back.

Chris's place is less than a 5-minute drive to the Yakutat marina. This Airbnb is exactly what you need to come home to after a day full of adventure. The space is comfortable, peaceful and private, the perfect recipe for a good night's rest. If one wants to connect back with the world they vacationed away from, all the connectivity is at your fingertips while there. Chris's knowledge, experience, and responsive communication is invaluable when it comes to the activities you are likely to do while in Yakutat. Thank you, Chris, for a great trip!

Mary Kay’s place was so friendly, relaxing, and cozy. She made us feel right at home and her homemade breakfasts were such a treat. It was especially nice to stay with locals who could tell us everything we wanted to know about hiking and sightseeing in Yakutat. We will definitely stay at Angler’s Rest again if we return to this gorgeous part of Southeast Alaska!

The house was private and well equipped. I appreciated having a good connection to internet while I was in Yakutat. So many places don’t have internet in Yakutat. I would stay there again. I prefer this Airbnb over the local Mooring Lodge in Yakutat because it is more private and has internet.

Mary K and Steve are extraordinary hosts! From the impeccably clean kitchen, to the very comfortable beds, the top quality stay exceeded the quality of any other Air BnB I have stayed at. The wild blueberry and salmonberry waffles that Mary K prepared were the best ever, after a restful nights sleep in the warm bedroom. As hosts, you couldn’t ask for a better couple than Mary K and Steve. They are fully knowledgeable about their local surroundings, and a joy to converse with. The full kitchen allowed us to prepare our three meals we brought up with us to Yakutat. We were able to grill tri-tip and an asparagus dinner with a fine Pinot we bought at the local wine shop. Second evening, we had brats. All were prepared on their outdoor grill. Third night was fresh silver fillets from the river also grilled on their grill. Sat on the back porch enjoying the most peaceful neighborhood. We cannot wait to book again! Thank you for the respite from the stressful city life back home.
