Candida's location is great. It is quite central, as other guests have previously mentioned - with nearby grocery shops, restaurants, banks (ATMs), and bus stops (but I mainly walked). As a host Candida was great! She gave me practical tips and information, and also checked that I felt safe, comfortable and satisfied with everything. The room is actually bigger than it looks in the photo, and it receives nice natural light, which I like (but one can block the light with curtains, too). I would definitely love to stay here whenever I am back in Maputo.

This place is absolutely outstanding. If you are looking for a true Oasis outside of the city, though still close enough; than this is your spot. Ancha and her husband Ben build the perfect Oasis for themselves over the years, which they are now sharing with guests. You will have a whole house, with all the amenities you need. A beautiful designed swimmingpool. They will offer you all the privacy you need, but if you need their help; they will help you in anything you need. A stunning Botanical garden is walking distance. The optional diner is also real good!

I stayed here during a very tense political situation for Mozambique and Maimuna was incredibly helpful, responsive, and accommodating when I had to extend my stay at the last minute due to flight cancellations. I still felt safe in the neighborhood, which is lovely and secure, and walking distance to plenty of stores and restaurant options. Maimuna’s father, a retired historian with a library to die for (an unlisted perk of the space) was a much needed rich source of information and context for what was happening outside. My Mozambique trip was cut short and limited my exploration to Maputo but this couldn’t have been a better spot to be in given the situation. I hope to return to Mozambique during brighter times and this will be the first place I book when I do.

We truly loved our stay in casa Tambira! We instantly felt at home with our two little kids (1 & 3). Carla arranged a baby crib, which was great! The location is amazing with many restaurants around the corner. I would definitely recommend the place!

Loved my stay at Markay’s place, very friendly and helpful host. Location was pwrfect, felt very safe and at home there. As a solo female sometimes I worry staying alone with a male host but Markay was extremely respectful and kind and I felt like family. Would definitely recommend, thanks 🙏

All i can say is that i still find myself back here, in between my travels in Mozambique…home away from home! Super grateful to Pedro (and Paula) for being so gracious and generous with your space 🙏🏿

I loved staying at Lina’s place. Both Lina and Jannlu were super nice and flexible, their place beautiful and I felt righty at home. Thanks for making the days so easygoing going and everything run smoothly. Hope to be back! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
