Sawyer's Cabin was the PERFECT place for my family to stay. Jeff was very accommodating and made sure we felt right at home. The fresh eggs and local honey was icing on the cake. My family throughly enjoyed all the amenities this house had to offer. We were able to spend some much needed quality time together. Sawyer's Cabin had everything we were looking for and MORE! We will definitely be back. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Our recent stay at this mountain house was absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the thoughtful touches that made our trip so enjoyable. While there were definitely guidelines for guests, the signs outlining what not to do were presented in such a charming and whimsical way that they added to the overall character of the home rather than feeling restrictive. It was clear the hosts have a great sense of humor! Beyond the stunning location, we were so impressed by how organized everything was. Every item seemed to have its designated place, making it incredibly easy to settle in and find what we needed. This level of organization truly enhanced our stay and allowed us to relax and focus on enjoying our vacation rather than searching for misplaced items. We loved the hot tub and made it a must before bed. Overall, this mountain house offered the perfect blend of natural beauty, thoughtful hospitality, and charming quirks. We would absolutely come back!!!

This home is one of the prettiest places I have stayed off of air bnb! It is every bit as good as the pictures you see. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quaint peaceful experience!

This place is listed in the top 1% of all Airbnb’s - and rightfully so! We chose this cabin because we were looking for an unplugged getaway for our first wedding anniversary and WOW! What a beautiful place. It’s the perfect amount of space for two, and extremely well-kept. The space is clean and well-appointed throughout. The automatic shades, Frame TV, and dimmable lights through were all nice touches. We spent a ton of time in the hot tub! It’s a little over 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, so close enough to enjoy the city but far enough to get away. Jessica was a great host! It’s clear she really cares about her guest and went out of her way to make sure that we felt celebrated for our anniversary. We will definitely be back again when we’re in town. Not much of a “hidden gem” anymore, but deserving of the hype for sure!

We were not able to actually stay at Lisa’s place because of Hurricane Helene, but will definitely go when we are able! Lisa was a great host, very responsive and helpful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was beautiful and clean, the hot tub was fantastic, and the peace and quiet was perfect after a busy day in Asheville. Definitely one of the best places we’ve stayed and we can’t wait to visit again!

The cabin was incredibly serene and quiet, with everything in the book needed to relax through your entire stay. Lucy was attentive and incredibly kind, offering not only a hearty list of wonderful recommendations (Yellow Mug being our favorite for breakfast/Coffee, my wife still raves about their Avocado toast), but she also left us a heartwarming welcome basket and message upon arrival that celebrated our honeymoon. The big swing overlooking the sunset is incredible, too. We can't recommend this place and Lucy enough and will remember our stay for the rest of our lives.

Second trip here, we drove our minivan & it only scraped the bottom a couple of times on the way up gravel driveway, so, honestly, and vehicle could do the drive if we could! We used loft space as well as lower bedrooms, all comfortable & spacious. It was gloriously warm for February, perfect for reading on the deck, hiking, cold plunging in the creek & hot tub. We love the solitude & especially love that our sweet dog can join us here!!!

We absolutely loved Camp Happy Mundo! It was such a peaceful and the cabin was really cozy. We would definitely recommend this spot for a relaxing getaway and will keep it in mind for the future.

As always, we LOVED our stay at Uncle Joe’s Cabin. This place is a little slice of heaven and this trip was exactly what our family needed. Our 4 kids always love playing in the creek and I loved napping on the porch listening to the creek and the rain. The cabin itself is so cozy and peaceful and the surroundings are simply beautiful! It’s the ideal location for a laid back, relaxing vacation full of family time!

I loved this place! It was spotless. The beds were so comfortable and the linens and comforters were of good quality. The tub and shower were awesome! I really appreciate a nice shower. It had great pressure and we never even came close to running out of hot water. The pictures are accurate as far as what is in the unit, but they really don’t do it just. I thought it was nicer than the pictures. If I am ever back in the area, I will definitely stay here again! Thank you, Natalie, for a great stay!

Such a beautiful and peaceful cabin tucked a way with a lot of hiking close by. The cabin was rustic, clean, and just as described/pictured. My boyfriend and I did a couple of nice hikes including Looking Glass Rock Trail as suggested by Lucas. Greg/Lucas were very accommodating and responsive.

Lovely little getaway tucked away on a private mountainside with a view of the river. Great place to go for a quick escape that is within reach of Asheville and many hikes! Loved the wood stove in the evening, and the vibrant daylight in the morning. Only thing I must mention is to check dishes prior to usage as I found many to be less than my standards (but we should be doing that with all Aorbnbs). Overall, an amazing stay that exceeded expectations for the price and I highly recommend!

Highly recommend! Though the area is recovering from the recent hurricane damage, we had a pleasant stay and would come back.

This is a wonderfully serene, quiet space set in the beautiful landscape of Black Mountain. Extremely convenient access to Downtown Black Mountain which was greatly appreciated with all the events in town. Very close to one of my favorite music venues made for the perfect experience for those of us who love the area for the music, as well as all of the other attractions. Elisha was proactive and very responsive in terms of communication. Check in was seamless and as described in the app. Definitely one to keep on your short list if you are a frequent visitor like me.

Comfy, cool spot. Hot tub was awesome! Front porch was nice. My kids loved goats and mini horses being right in the backyard. We watched as the bison were fed and the owner explained everything to us. A nice treat!

We wish we would have stayed another day or two. Tucked up on a the side of a hill, this cabin with a gas fireplace and kitchen amenities was perfect. After spending a few days there, it felt so cozy that we did not want to leave. This cabin had a ping pong table, plenty of outdoor chairs & benches to sit and soak in the view, and much more. Our dog was super happy with the patio and taking longer walks on the small street across the road. It's a well located cabin situated at the beginning / end of The Rattler. Lindsey was a fantastic host and communicated promptly and clearly before, during, and after our stay. She included local favorites nearby and a whole host of other info that we found helpful for our trip. If we are ever in Western North Carolina again we will certainly be staying at Lindsey's place.

We enjoyed visiting the River arts district, funky shops in downtown AVL, kayaking on the French Broad and a hike to Catawba Falls. Sitting on the deck in the mornings looking out into the lovely sun dappled woods, listening to the birds and ejoying unhurried conversations (with our human friends) was as compelling as any of the planned activities.

It was a great stay!! The kids loved the house and felt very comfortable in the twin bedroom. My daughter loved the set up and felt comfy in the bed that was tucked away! Cute place and enjoyed our stay, thank you again!

I needed to take some time away for a calm and peaceful vacation. This was EXACTLY what I needed! Everything was simply perfect and as described. Mars Hill is a chill place and I want to go back as soon as possible, and I would love to stay in this cabin again! if you're looking for a place to get away from stress, being there will melt the stress away. I felt right at home there. Note that this is an area affected by hurricane Helene. Places near rivers were affected the most. If you want to help out, book an AirBNB like this one. Go to local restaurants and shops and spend money. Just do what you can to support the economy. It will help people rebuild. Western North Carolina is a magical place. I'm lucky enough to live there myself, but Mars Hill seems even more magical. It's like a slice of heaven, and this cabin is what I've been needing. I feel more relaxed than I have in a very long time!

Great location! The cabins are right on the river and only a short drive from Asheville and the blue ridge parkway. This was our second time staying here for a hiking trip.

I stayed at Kelly’s place for a weekend father son trip and it was a perfect spot in Asheville. The location is perfect - close enough to the city for a short drive, but secluded enough to make you really feel in the mountains. Cabin was beautiful with vaulted ceilings and indoor fireplace, with 2 bedrooms and a very spacious loft bedroom upstairs. Hosts were responsive, friendly, and offered local recommendations. Would absolutely stay again on my next trip to Asheville.

Beautiful home to stay at while we were in Asheville. 20 min drive to downtown and all other activities we had planned. Home was extremely clean and homey. The next time we return to the area I would certainly look to see if this home is available again.
