Absolutely lovely place. My second time here and it is just perfect. Amenities are top tier with clear instructions - we booked the games barn extra and had a lovely night playing games and making pizzas in the pizza oven. The house is extremely homely and cosy, with plenty of space for everyone. The hot tub and sauna are great. Love the animals in the garden. Lovely location for gentle walks and pub just over the road or a nice walk into the next village. Well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen including some little treats, and even robes, extra towels, toiletries and flip flops etc. Really excellent home & hosts. Thanks very much!

Really enjoyed our stay here, remote place and a lot of privacy. Cabin was very nicely decorated, really loved the Easter theme. Host was lovely and really made sure we knew what to do and where to go

Had a short stay at Barley Croft lodge. Ray was great he rang to check if everything was ok with our lodge and was very polite and helpful. The lodge is in lovely surroundings with lots to do locally. It was ideal for our 1 year old daughter who could wander on the veranda safely and look at the two donkeys in the adjacent field. The lodge has everything you need and is close by the villages of Melbourne and Breedon have places to visit. An all around great experience. Thank you Ray.

Just finished a lovely couple of days stay with our two teen girls and dogs. Well fitted out and very clean cabin with comfy beds and linen. Great space to relax and unwind with fab restaurants and shops within the Marina. Rob is a great host providing loads of info plus additionally going above and beyond when our car had a fault guiding us to a garage locally who fixed the problem the next day! We’ll be back!

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. The cottage and the village are beautiful. Stephanie and her daughter gave us all the information we needed and were lovely to deal with. Hope to be back again soon!

Lee’s home felt like a home from home. Really spacious, great for a big group. We loved the downstairs living space and that there were so many bathrooms. Area is great with a little high street 1 min away. Close to Coventry and Birmingham.

We’re a family of 5 and were staying at Lesley’s house for our daughter’s graduation. The house was perfect for our multi generations and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend staying in South Croxton.

Another excellent and very comfy stay for the two nights we were there. The Wren is in a beautiful location and we made the very most of it during our very short stay. We had come to Burton from Somerset to attend a funeral and the the location of the Wren not only shortened our journey to the Crematorium but also provided a perfect location for a beautiful walk afterwards to help us get over our loss. We needed a place to stay with our cat while our house was being rewired and redecorated. We are so glad we chose Portia cottage. The cottage is immaculately clean, beautifully furnished and the kitchen is well-equipped. The surrounding countryside is stunning. There are horses to the front of the cottage and sheep to the back, and a pheasant regularly visits the back garden. We really enjoyed our stay. The host Katherine is super-responsive and helpful.
