Great stay with our kids here. Best part was the amazing snorkeling- right off the beach at the bottom of the stairs. The reef here made things calm and the fish we saw were amazing. Very private and quiet. Kids also loved the beach with waves about .5 mi down the road by Pascals restaurant. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Road to get there is rough but we loved the seclusion and adventure.

Location, Location, Location. Unreal. The house is dated and needs work, the power goes out sometimes and you might lose hot water. If you are looking for the Ritz Carlton, this isn't it, but if you want a once-in-a-lifetime experience, highly recommend it. The access to the water, sound of the atlantic ocean crashing in the background and beautiful wildlife all around you. We will return. Brenda was a great host and made it her job to ensure we had a great time.

We had another wonderful time in Eleuthera. Hibiscus House was everything we had hoped for and more. The house has more than you would want/need. It's location is great! a few steps to the beach...a few less to the pool.... it has a beautiful porch where we spent many hours reading and relaxing. Beautiful breeze, no bugs. Alexandra was available if needed. Lydia met us at the house to swap out the coffee maker....already in the works ( we didn't even know it was broken) . The fridge had a built-in ice maker making cubes for cold drinks easy and immediate. High end all the way; not necessary in Eleuthera but certainly a surprise and appreciated! We totally recommend Hibiscus House. If you are looking to a totally worry free, relaxing vacation...look no further.

We had a great time at this place. It was for my wife and I and our 5 year old daughter. The interior of the apartment was spacious and clean. Everything worked well, apart from the WiFi which had good and not so good periods, but that did not detract from enjoying the location which was great for exploring all of Eleuthera in our hire car

must see to appreciate looks 10 times better than the pictures. everything was top tier☺️only wish my stay was longer. 20/10

My family and I had a wonderful amazing stay at your home. Every day was a beautiful adventure, walking around the island and exploring the beaches and snorkeling. It was serene, rustic, and a breath of fresh air from our busy lives. Glad we brought food as the grocery stores were something to get used to, but it was an adventure, and everybody was so nice. We will for sure come back.

Amazing place and hosts. Could not be happier with our choice to stay here. Only regret .. we hat we couldn’t stay longer.

This place is a gem! We were lucky enough to get a whole week in this beautiful home with the Caribbean as our backyard! Deborah is a wonderful host with excellent communication and an amazing home right in the middle of gorgeous Eleuthera. Governor’s Harbour is the perfect location- the island is long and getting from one end to the other can take awhile, so being in the middle means everything is a reasonable distance away. It was hard to leave the house though! We had some perfect, sunny and windless days so we snorkeled and paddle boarded right at the house! There were even 2 sea turtles to keep us company. If you want to journey farther, rent a car from Romell- he is awesome and met us at the airport! 1648 is an amazing restaurant, but we mostly bought fresh fish and cooked at home- the kitchen had everything I needed to prepare lobster and fish. We are already planning to come back- we had the perfect week at this lovely, peaceful home!

Spectacular beachfront setting with open ocean views. Very private setting. Although there are other homes on Banks Road it felt like we had the beach to ourselves. Several good restaurants and pristine, sheltered beaches are just a short drive away. Home is partially updated (new appliances, new TV, new outdoor furniture and new covered beachfront deck with 4 lounge chairs) and features a spiral staircase to get to 2nd floor where the 2 bedrooms and a bathroom are located. We were very happy with our stay. Rachel was highly responsive and we would welcome the opportunity to visit again.

This is a beautiful place with modern everything. The house sits in a great position to explore the more uninhabited parts of the island or any of the great surf spots Eleuthera has to offer. The house has all the things that you might forget on a trip or hard to find in the smaller towns around Eleuthera.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location! If you are looking for a laid back, relaxing vacay, this is your spot. The house is brand new and beautiful, the beach is outstanding. You are very close to the Caribbean side of the island, if you prefer calmer waters. Laura was very responsive and the local managers were very helpful and welcoming. Tips- if you’ve never been to Eleuthera- know that it’s more rural and laid back. There are resorts but it’s not so commercialized (which was ideal for us). Many times we had the whole beach to ourselves. There’s an adventure built in- navigating the island, finding good food spots, etc. The locals are incredibly Friendly and helpful and will give great advice for places to go and things to do. When booking a car- really try to get an SUV. We were a little late to the game and got a car instead. It’s do-able but the roads can be a little rough and to get to most things you have to drive unpaved roads. Overall great trip!

If you're going to be traveling to Eleuthera, look no further! Shannon's bungalow sits high above the ocean giving beautiful daytime views and at night the stars are incredible, too. You'll be situated in a great middle ground for anything you'd like to do in the island. Minutes from beautiful beaches and great restaurants in town. Black outs are common (and did happen while we were there!) but we did not even notice due to Shannon's off-grid setup. As a host, Shannon is top tier and can help with anything you need while on-site. 10/10 would stay again!

Beautiful home overlooking a stunning beach in the center of Eleuthera. The bathrooms and kitchen are modern and perfectly clean. This home spoiled us during our trip to Eleuthera and was so welcoming and comfortable that we didn’t want to leave. There is a huge center dining room table and each bedroom wing is private and comfortable with on-suite bathrooms complete with lovely walk-in showers. The walk down to the beach crosses the beautiful back yard and there is a deck and covered sitting area overlooking the wonderful sugar sand beach that stretches for miles. We can see why past visitors love this prime location. Close to town to visit for groceries, gas and the Friday fish fry. It truly has everything you need and more. The view from the back deck is breathtaking!

A HOME AWAY FROM HOME. The host Ms. Barbara is very helpful, communicative, and accommodating. The photos doesn’t give this cottage any justice! It’s super huge, clean, and well equipped with everything you may need during your stay. There is an amazing private beach steps away from the back porch. I would most definitely stay at this cottage if I was to visit southern Eleuthera again.

This is my 2nd stay with Anna and this trip was even better than the last. The house is just as pictured. Anna is very responsive and the check in process was easy. The house has all the amenities needed for your stay. Very clean and the view is amazing. Looking forward to my next visit.

This home was centrally located for exploring all Eleuthera has to offer. The home had all the basics we needed. The view from the porch was beautiful. We loaded our car up each morning with the coolers provided and snorkel gear and explored the many beaches Eleuthera has to offer, it was an amazing experience. The host was always easy to get ahold of and responsive. Gaulding Cay and Receivers beach old boat dock were the best snorkeling we found. Lots of fish! Lighthouse beach point was well worth the long drive and hike. Jumping in the Sapphire Blue hole was also a highlight- as long as you have upper body strength to pull yourself back out. Keep in mind most grocery stores close early or aren't open on Sundays. All the locals were so friendly and helpful. It was an amazing adventure! Thank you!!

Jolly Mon was more wonderful than we could have imagined. The house is absolutely beautiful and the scenery outside is heavenly. Plenty of space for our group of 2 couples. Very comfortable upscale furnishings and a perfectly stocked kitchen. AC was very comfortable however leaving the windows open was great for hearing the ocean waves. The decks for enjoying the beautiful scenery were fabulous. Comfortable deck chairs, beach lounge chairs, etc. The beach was perfect with crystal clear waters and soft pink sand just outside the door! Jane was fantastic with communications, answering questions quickly and providing helpful advice. We tried many local restaurants which were all delicious and the people on the island are incredibly friendly. This was our 3rd visit to Eleuthera and we can't wait for our next. Jolly Mon will be a top choice in places to stay.

As they say . . . Eleuthera is not for everyone. This is a completely off the grid property. With that comes a certain understanding that not everything may be available on demand. However, we had plenty of water, Wi-Fi and electricity for 6 people. This was a wonderful trip and location. So secluded, so peaceful and so interesting. A true gem on ELH. Turtles and various fish visited the dock regularly. The breeze was God sent. No need for A/C. Rooms were comfortable and the house had everything we needed. The grounds were very well maintained and beautiful. Stars at night were plentiful. Awesome beach about a 10 min walk through a well-maintained path. The host was friendly, responsive and accommodating. What more can I say. Fantastic trip and adventure.

We really enjoyed our stay at Baha Mara. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The house itself is spacious and light-filled, well appointed and equipped, with lovely art and nice touches throughout. Comfortable beds and living room space, great kitchen for cooking, large porch for sitting out. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the day beds at water's edge, as well as exploring the tide line and in the water on the SUPs and with snorkels. This was our first visit to Eleuthera, and we found Baha Mara to be perfectly located to venture out to various villages, beaches, restaurants and grocery options not too far from the house. We discovered on our first day that the closest eastside beach, Islandia, is closed to the public pending a sale of the surrounding 466+ acres (!), so we explored a handful of the myriad sandy stretches up and down the coast. We only wished that we had more days to spend and that we had booked a day out on the boat with John/Big Mac Fishing. Next time!

Blue Moon was an absolutely amazing right on the Beach at Gaulding Cay Beach. There are no other rentals directly on the beach here. The water was amazing crystal clear just a few steps through the coconut tree. (Not many bugs) We used the SUP and double kayak one afternoon. And everyday we snorkeled the rock everyday. Hanging out listening to the water and coconut trees in a hammock was extremely relaxing. The house has loads of books and a great collection of art. Daddy Joes was just a short walk down the road. Gregory town is just a 4 minute ride in the car. We are looking forward to our next stay. I am dreaming about that beach and hammock!!

We have been to Eleuthera multiple time and this has been our favorite location. The beach and beauty of the Atlantic side are unmatched.

We loved the location of this place! It’s way bigger than it appears in the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked- sharp knives- which I’ve usually experienced crappy knives in airbnbs! The fans in the bedroom and the kitchen kept good air flow that we didn’t even need to use the ac at all. There is a nice big closet to store your luggage and hang all of your clothes. The bathroom is big and the shower is so lovely. Bed is super soft and comfy. The patio, the privacy of the property and all the trees and flowers were the main reason we chose to stay here, and it was just magical. People talk about all the little noseeums- we didn’t experience any at the Airbnb thankfully! But on some of the beaches and at a few restaurants on the beach- omg they destroy you. I had hundreds of bites all over my legs. Finding this house can be tricky- in Gregory town, the queens highway turns left and goes uphill, Unca Genes bar on the right. Go up the hill a ways and far up on the left is champions bar

The little red house is even more beautiful than on the pictures and description! We felt right at home because it was so well equipped! Snorkelling gear; Kanu; Lots of toiletries; the kitchen was even more well equipped than my own: like herbs and spices! The house was very clean and cozy! Most beautiful few and surrounding I have ever seen. The host was very friendly, answered all our questions and even helped us with booking a rental car which was also a great deal!

We stayed April 5-19 2025. The house is new, spacious and great window light coming in. Comfortable bedding etc. the house is on kind of a rocky beach but it is one of the few we have found on Eleuthera with shells! The back porch facing the ocean was one of our favorites spots to hang out when not in the sun. There are 2 hammocks in the yard which were so relaxing. Ken, brother in law of owner lives close by and checked in with us and as the house is new and just started being rented out he said to let him know if we think of anything it might need. We travel to Eleuthera about once a year. And there were a couple itemsI I thought the place could use and presto! Ken had them to us by evening! That was fantastic so now there is a cooler to use, some additional kitchen items and an iron 🙂 David also checked in when we arrived and after we checked out. We really like Neek’s. Eats for food and drinks and it is only about 5 min. Away. There are some games there and we left a couple book
