This home was exactly what we needed - a beautiful, relaxing space with wonderful views. Every home along the private road is lovely - the azaleas in bloom during our April stay were stunning! The house itself was clean and had every amenity. The outdoor space was fantastic! We enjoyed our time sitting and rocking and looking at the river. We drove in to Williamsburg twice. It was a bit of a drive, but was worth it. Gloucester is a cute town and we did a little shopping & eating. Don’t hesitate to book this home!

With 180 degree water views, what could be better?! We saw birds, incredible sunrises over the bay, and enjoyed sunset in the hot tub. It’s just right for a long weekend getaway to relax and unwind!

This is a really nice getaway that is peaceful and serene. The home is older, but has some nice updates. I am one that appreciates a home with character. It is in a secluded area, so at night its gets really dark in the hot tub area which we made good use of. Waking up to views of the lake was my favorite part of the day. I was sad when the sun started to go down. There are neighbors, but the houses aren't very close to each other. It is located in a small town so there aren't many food options. The restaurant we went to wasn't very good, so I'd highly recommend cooking for your stay or bringing food. That's what we did. We cooked our meals and grilled. It was fantastic. Four of us stayed there comfortably. Two couples. Overall we had a nice 3 days and I'd highly recommend.

Our stay in this home was such a treat! We enjoyed utilizing the kayaks to boat around in Chesapeake Bay. The hot tub was an absolute delight, perfect for evening stargazing, saw lots of shooting stars, and could see the water of the bay from the hot tub. We also enjoyed doing November cold plunges from the hot tub to the pool. While the living room is not expansive, it fit our needs for family game & movie nights. The bed linens were so comfortable, and Lori was beautifully responsive & friendly when we would reach out with a question. We also enjoyed the nearby Sandy beaches.

Richard was absolutely amazing and was so quick to respond when our trip changed and we were getting there a little bit earlier! We will definitely be coming back next year! The house stayed cold the beds were very comfortable and watching the sunset at the dock was by far my favorite thing!

Our trip to The Half Shell Haven was great! The place was clean, extremely well stocked, and included many extras! We had crazy weather the first two days, but we had plenty to do at the house. My boys loved being on the water and the game room and my daughter loved the hot tub and bicycling. My daughters service dog enjoyed a nice reprieve and seemed so happy. We had a great time, and were honestly sad to go! If we find ourselves back up in Virginia we will definitely stay here! Thank you for the care and attention to detail to ensure a great trip!

We loved Marla & Will’s place. The house was clean, the kitchen had all the tools to prepare a meal, plenty of towels,comfy beds. The views were beautiful from the front porch, we used the kayaks and had my children play at the little beach that was available on low tide, my children played in the water, we only saw one jellyfish. We also did some fishing, used the crab trap, did not get any crabs but it was still a fun activity for my children ! We also found oysters in one of the beaches that appear on low tide. Also, we appreciated the storybooks for children, toys, bed rail guard and highchair. For grocery shopping we used Food Lion, the Little River seafood gourmet, and Jeff Country Market. We also ate at Reedville Market and it was delicious. Overall, it was a great stay and we can’t wait to go back !

There is nothing more serene than waking up in the ‘crab shack’ with the sunrise. What a comfortable and scenic spot. Even our dog, Juno, loved it! Took a sunset sail to celebrate a birthday and got front pier service! Our host, Carlisle, was extremely attentive and kind with any needs we had or hadn’t thought of. Wish we had booked longer. We hope to return very soon!!

I stayed two nights at Cornelia's place with my sister and niece. The cottage is lovely and is exactly as described. We really appreciated the elevated amenities - luxurious bath towels, loads of cozy blankets, basket of snacks and provided coffee, shampoo, soaps, etc. The porch is a wonderful place to enjoy coffee in the morning as the sun comes up. Cornelia is very responsive and helpful and was quick to assist us in resolving a little issue we had with the door lock. One very minor thing to note (which didn't bother me, as I always come prepared with a travel white noise machine) is the very thin wall between the television and the bedroom. If someone in your party likes to stay up late watching tv, you might want to consider ear plugs or a white noise machine of your own. Overall a wonderful place to stay!

The cottage was as described and then some! The pictures showed a good sample of the property. The host was very welcoming and pleasant to chat with. There was a binder inside with recommendations for sights and places to see. We were able to enjoy the sunset off the pier while swimming in the water. The natural beauty and tranquility of the land made the stay so worthwhile.

My parents and I stayed here for four days. It was the perfect peaceful getaway for us. The place was really cute, two bedrooms with queen size beds, a large bathroom, and the cutest kitchen-living room area. Gloucester is a sweet town to hang out in, and the host gave some great recommendations for local places to check out. Wonderful place, we will be coming back!!

I cannot find the words to express our families stay. When I say this was the best stay at an ABNB we have had thus far it was. The outside itself from the landscaping to the scenery was breathtaking. Checking in was a breeze. Once inside pictures cannot begin to show the beauty of this property. The hosts have really thought through a guest experience. They went over and beyond hosts duties adding extreme attention to details. Anything and everything you may need or want for your stay was there. Even with all the extra amenities and the beauty of the home our family instantly felt at home. We loved our stay so much we have already booked our next stay.

The home sits on a nice point of land at the end of a quiet road. It is a nice mix of early 20th century charm and modern with spacious living room, kitchen, and bedrooms. The living room and large deck allow unobstructed views of the water. The home is well-kept, clean, and includes everything you need for a pleasant getaway. And, it is a short (10 min.) drive to the shops and restaurants in Kilmarnock. A relaxing, recommended stay.

we had an excellent time at the little grey house. its cute and comfy and the view is to die for. please do yourselves a favor and watch the sunrise at least once its beautiful. theres not much on the island itself for food but there are plenty of places to find good food near by. I highly recommend the pizza at southwind pizza. was really good. I promise you will enjoy your stay at. Will hopefully beable to book again next time were down in the area!

this was easily the best Airbnb that we have ever stayed in. we've stayed in a lot of nice places but this one had something special about it. The history was evident in not just the home but the furnishings. A lot of the home was definitely older and what some would say dated but it was all in pristine condition as though it was brand new. I know it sounds silly but the dishwasher looked like it had just been unpacked and installed and it was probably 30 to 40 years old. everything about the house was just cool. to be able to walk out the door and take a very short walk to go out onto the pier cast a line and catch a bunch of fish was amazing. The neighbors were all very friendly and the small towns surrounding the area were filled with neat stores and good places to eat. We would definitely recommend this spot.

Our stay at this property was truly an amazing getaway. The breathtaking views and stunning sunrises from the porch were a daily delight. The home is exactly as described and absolutely beautiful. We felt like we were at home. Each room is uniquely decorated. The doors opening up from the upstairs living room to the porch outside with a comfortable couch was so wonderful. We enjoyed the quietness Beach Music offered. We look forward to coming back soon one day.

Our stay at The Cottage at Elm Bank exceeded our expectations. We traveled to Virginia from New Jersey. A single mom, her two big boys and her little pup. We were in town for a little getaway for Easter weekend. I was looking for some peace and tranquility. When we arrived, we were greeted by Susan and George. They were kind and welcoming. The property is absolutely breathtaking. Our accommodations were cozy and super clean. What stood out the most was all of the personal touches that Susan and George provided. We had a welcome basket waiting for us with many thoughtful things for us to snack on. It was as if they knew exactly what we liked. Susan was very responsive and George was very helpful, he even allowed the boys to use the kayaks and helped them set things up to get into the water. We were able to use the pickleball court and the basketball hoop. They set up wood for a wonderful fire and provided the marshmallows and sticks! It’s a beautiful property with wonderful hosts!

Charming cottage at a family-owned, lovingly-crafted campground. It suited our needs perfectly. We traveled with our dog and all the other dogs on site were all on leashes and well-behaved. The staff was very helpful and we would definitely stay here again!

Wayne was a awesome host and Our stay was great very peaceful and relaxing. We were able to catch a lot of fish off the dock, as well as seeing Deers the house is cozy and as always enjoy our time there.

It's hard to imagine a better little home to spend time in while in Reedville! Elizabeth's home was welcoming from the moment we opened the door. The owners have put a lot of thought into making the kitchen very functional and beautiful with a very spacious dining area across from the counter. Everything was immaculately clean and bright. The decor was well appointed, with local antiques mixed in to bring a sense of time to the updated furniture. The linens were soft, the towels cotton and absorbent, the bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. I would highly recommend staying here at this adorable, bright and beautiful cottage with all of it's comfort and personality!

Our stay at Hedgerow over Christmas week was absolutely wonderful! Everything about the property was so thoughtfully planned and executed. Comfort & Amenities: The beds were incredibly comfortable with ample blankets, ensuring we were cozy and warm throughout our stay. I especially appreciated the high-quality toiletries provided in the bathroom. Ease of Use: Clear and concise instructions were readily available for all appliances, lights, and other features of the home, making our stay incredibly easy and enjoyable. Homey & Welcoming: The overall atmosphere of Hedgerow was incredibly homey and welcoming. It truly felt like a place where we could relax and enjoy our time with family. This was by far one of the best Airbnb experiences I've ever had. Thank you for creating such a special place!

The host was very responsible and helpful! The house was very clean, great amenities and very relaxing.

My group of 10 had a wonderful stay at the Rivah House! We could have fit several more people quite comfortably - we felt we had plenty of space in both common areas and rooms. Lots of fun, bright decor livens up the space and makes it feel homey. The house was clean, linens were nice, and beds were very comfy. We appreciated that there were different room configurations that could fit a variety of group types. The kitchen was extremely well-appointed, with plenty of dishes, utensils, and some pleasant surprises like a Crock-Pot! Our group had a great time cooking and eating together around the big table. Our stay was early March but if the weather had been warmer, we definitely would have spent more time sitting out by the dock watching the birds on the water, playing with all the outdoor toys (kayaks, etc.), and enjoying the spacious fire pit. Francesca was an excellent host, giving us clear check-in/out instructions, local advice, and responding promptly.
