A short walk to the beach.There is free on street parking with scratch cards that we provide in the W zones which are within a 5min walk from the flat. There is a pub directly opposite which at weekends you may experience some noise

This cottage is all about the view! Beach-side location at the base of the 199 steps - perfect for exploring the beautiful historic town of Whitby. Browse in the eclectic independent shops and sample the finest seafood in the local eateries. Walk up to the abbey, stroll along the piers and collect fossils from the beach, take a ride on the steam train to the neighbouring villages and explore the moors. Please note due to the beach side location of the cottage, there is unfortunately no parking.

The Chapter House

The Chapter House is a spacious and quirky Grade II listed cottage nestled in the heart of Whitby. This central location is ideal for families and friends to use as a base to explore all that Whitby has to offer. The house started life in 1891 as a church Vestry and retains much of its original character. Please note, the church which it was part of is now a cafe and music venue. Beyond the Gothic stained glass windows, the Chapter house has all the modern amentities of a holiday hideaway

Sandside Retreat is situated in the heart of Whitby’s Old Town, at the foot of the iconic 199 steps leading to the Abbey. ; whilst tucked away for peace and quiet. Just a stone’s throw away from Tate Hill Sands, harbour, shops, restaurants and bars. Sleeping up to 3 guests, it features a cosy living room with separate kitchen/diner. There is a private patio which overlooks the sea towards the East Pier. Unlike many cottages to the East Side, there are no steps leading up to the cottage.

Birch House Farm is located within 12 acres of woodland and pasture. Hollyhock cabin has been finished to a high specification to give comfort all year round. We provide bed linen, towels and a welcome basket containing home grown and local produce. Ensuite shower facilities, heating, TV and a kitchen area (hob, kettle and microwave). Children are welcome at the carriage and additional sleeping is available on the day bed in the living area.
