We had a lovely stay! Great location for those arriving into York by train and wanting to explore the city by foot. Lisa was really friendly, accommodating and responsive - she offered enough recommendations for two weeks so it's a shame we could only stay a few days, we felt super welcomed by personal touches including a chalkboard welcome message and prosecco, and we really appreciated Lisa letting us check in and check out slightly outside of hours to fit our train times. Worth noting the lack of toilet/bathroom door and sound insulation in general across the house - probably not the right place for those who highly value their privacy! But we would gladly visit again :)

It is a stunning cottage and we would have loved to stay longer than just a weekend! The place is cosy, spacious and has beautiful views of the countryside. The host, Virginia was very thoughtful, friendly and helpful on checking and throughout the stay.

It was a very beautiful house. We liked the Garden and the room and spent a lot of time there. Overall, we had a good experience staying here and I would definitely come back :)

We had a lovely stay over new year's eve / new year's day! Four adults five children, would highly recommend! Such a lovely home and lots of nice touches from the host 🫶🏽 the fresh farm eggs and bacon were gorgeous! Thanks so much

The house was in an great location, town centre is a 5 minute walk away. Home was lovely and stocked up with things for tea/coffee and more. Hosts communication was clear and consistent and it was easy to check in. Parking was sorted by our hosts and they organised this in advance of our visit. We loved the small touches such as extra plugs in bedrooms and books or leaflets about York. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting York, and would look to stay here again!

Staying at Alex's was an easy and relaxed Airbnb experience. Alex was super communicative and very accommodating when we visited the area for a biking event. The accommodation is clean and cosy in a very peaceful location and I would imagine it makes a great base for walking and horse riding, or cycling like we were doing. We had everything we needed and Alex generously includes a breakfast which was really good and helped set us up for the day. Bonus points for the very friendly cats. :) I'm sure if we returned to the area we wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

Great location, about 20 mins walk to the city and 10 mins from the station. The house was just as shown in the pictures and as described, very clean and had all the amenities you require for a long weekend. Phil was great with communication. Great stay, I would recommend!!

Lovely place to stay. Host very friendly and helpful. Accommodation lovely, lots of extra nice touches making it feel extra special. Lovely comfortable big bed. Pubs within minutes walking. Easy to get to York using park and ride. Highly recommend this lovely place to stay.

Entering through a rather modest door right off the street we found Andrea's flat to be spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. As previous reviews the bedroom at the rear of the property is very quiet so you get a good night's sleep in the huge comfy bed. The kitchen is modern, well equipped with several nice touches left for us to get our stay started. The shower gives a good hot flow, much better than the puny electric ones in most properties. We are really pleased to have found Andrea's flat and as we visit York at least once a year we hope to stay again.

Always nice to stay here. With family in the area, an ideal quiet place. Not far from the town and beach - all walkable.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt in der Wohnung von Diana. Die Wohnung ist sauber, schön und super Eingerichtet. Es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Die Ausstattung ist absolut ausreichend. In der Umgebung findet man alles was man braucht, von Pubs, Restaurants, Schnellrestaurants, Supermarkt und Tankstellen. Es ist auch zu Fuß sehr gut erreichbar. Die Kommunikation mit Diana war super und der Check In sehr einfach. Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Von dort kann man viele Sehenswürdigkeiten mit dem Auto erkunden und erreichen. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und würden es wieder buchen. Kann man empfehlen.

Sebastian’s flat was a clean spacious flat with a nice private terrace and a very convenient parking spot. It was a 10 min max walk to the Minister so incredibly central whilst feeling private. Sebastian was a great host who was very proactive in communicating. A great stay.

it was amazing very clean, quiet, not far to walk we went on the bus 3 stops we were in the Centre and Helen was very helpful on giving us ideas what to do in York, I would recommend this place to family and friends.

I was visiting York for the first time with my partner and was swayed by this property due to the free parking and nice looking place. I am so glad I was. The space is STUNNING, much bigger than the pictures and honestly such great value for money. The hosts, David and Anita, were super friendly, helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Important highlights - The water pressure in the shower was good - The bed was super comfy - The location is perfect - The complimentary extras from the hosts were wonderful and generous I would happily say this is the best Air bnb I have stayed in. Thank you so much!

George and Christine made us feel extremely welcomed into their home from the first moment we arrived. Their home is imacculately presented and the bedrooms were spotless. The included breakfast was a lovely unexpected surprise and was delicious! We stayed for two nights with our Cockapoo and he even enjoyed playing with George and Christine's Cockapoos in the garden! Overall, we would definitely like to stay again and we couldn't recommend it more highly!

Hi arrived and felt welcome straight away .Nice area od Scarborough rural-quiet.Which I'm used to wonderful .Accommodation was perfect ,especially the separate bathroom with shower&bath.Breakfast each morning was attentive & nicely presented. Definitely book again as Sarah makes you feel relaxed &at home instantly. Is near to Scarborough but a good walk if your not to fit lol .Taxi would be a plan B if not .Air B&B for me in summer was perfect thankyou ♡

A lovely welcoming couple and very accommodating during our stay. . they made us feel right at home. A comfortable and pretty room, very nice facilities and even waited on at breakfast! A reasonable price and a great location to hop on the park and ride in to York. We really enjoyed our weekend. We will certainly be back on our next excursion this way. Thank you and all the best x

I stayed for 4 nights. Helen gave me a very warm welcome and went out of her way to make my stay enjoyable. Daisy the dog was always excited to greet me.The room was comfortable, the bed comfort excellent and the shower excellent. The continental breakfasts were delicious and plentiful with fresh croissant and pastries, yoghurt, muesli, granola, fresh orange juice, and fresh coffee, and they were delivered to the room. I had access to a small fridge and coffee, tea and a kettle in the room. There is a Lidl across the road, very handy for provisions. I have stayed in many b&b's in Whitby, but Helen's is the best.

Richard and Neill were very kind and attentive, laid on a delicious breakfast and welcomed us to a very comfortable room. The place was easy to find and ideal as a base for visiting Yorkshire abbeys, minsters and churches. Thank you, Richard

Amanda and Kevin were superb hosts with a truly lovely house. This was much more of the fantastic BnB experience than just renting a room. We used this as a base to walk into York and it was perfect for that purpose. The accomodation was stunning, with lovely period features and super clean amenities. Full breakfast in the morning was the final fantastic touch. Would definitely come again and recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful base to explore York.

Mandy’s place felt like home! Welcoming and friendly, she makes a great host. Everything was clean and the amenities were well-thought-out in all details. Breakfast was delicious! I found the surroundings to be quiet enough for a deep sleep. As a last note, her tap water really is exceptional. Don’t forget to fill up your water bottle before you leave! :)
