We had a lovely stay here! Such a beautiful spot, private and quiet, but close to the small towns and beaches nearby. Lovely views and all the amenities you need for a few peaceful days away from it all. All of the thoughtful little details around the site were much appreciated.

Photos don't do this place justice... we were floored by the beautiful views! Everything was so cosy and clean.. beds were super comfy! Lyndsay made our stay awesome and her personal welcoming touches made us feel right at home!

Eigentlich wollte ich „nur“ 4 Sterne geben - leider haben am Anfang die Außenbäder nicht funktioniert, es waren ein paar Schäden vorhanden (z.B. lockere Badezimmerarmaturen) und am Boden lagen ein paar tote Insekten, in den Ecken nicht wenige Spinnweben und der Grill funktionierte nicht richtig (Anzünder defekt). Die zwei Feuerzeuge waren beide leer bzw. defekt. Allerdings hat sich Ricky so gut wie möglich darum gekümmert - es kam jemand und hat die Bäder repariert (die Batterie des Durchlauferhitzers war leer) und ein neues Feuerzeug für den Grill gebracht. Außerdem ist das Haus halt schon sehr geil. Die Aussicht ist der Hammer und die Garage hat auch mehrere nette Spielmöglichkeiten. Unserer 2,5 jährigen Tochter hat es super gefallen. Die Küche war an sich sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber. Das entschädigt dann für die zuerst genannten Kleinigkeiten 👍🏻

We really enjoyed our stay. Highlights for us was listening to Kiwi so close to the accommodation, the outdoor table setting in a sheltered alcove and enjoying the spa with night skies above. The spa was super clean and positioned perfectly to laze back and look up at the night sky - brilliant! The space is very private. Ocean Beach was a short drive away - really nice. Great hosts. Highly recommended.

The perfect place for a getaway not just for the location but the space itself is heaven - includes everything you need to stay in and activities around the area if you choose to head out. The retreat is also great for bringing your furbaby with a track to explore and a short drive to nearby beaches. The scenery including the hills and cattle during day with the stars at night make the time spent so tranquil and peaceful! Mark is excellent with communication and is always available for any queries. It was a wonderful bonus getting to meet Max, Milly and Chubb too!

Justine and Jo did the most amazing job in providing us with the best possible experience. There is so much thought and care gone into their cottage. They have created a blissful oasis. One that we would highly recommend. Thankyou so much

We absolutely loved our stay at the Yurt! The peaceful surroundings, tucked away in nature, made it the perfect escape. The yurt itself was beautifully set up—comfortable, clean, and full of thoughtful details that made us feel right at home. Stargazing from the hot tub under the clear night sky was truly unforgettable and easily the highlight of our trip. Wairua Escape is a magical spot—we left feeling so relaxed and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and tranquil getaway.

Linda was friendly, helpful & a great host, allowing us to arrive early on short notice & kindly offering a few extra hours on our last day. We enjoyed the stay very much w the serene private backyard & outdoor bath. Great access to the township & local pub just a stroll out the backgate! Highly recommend!
