We stayed here for our 26th anniversary and it was perfect! It is an amazing cabin with incredible views. I highly recommend this cabin. The one piece of advice is because cell service is spotty don't trust your gps. Follow the instructions and look for the name of the cabin on the sign.

We enjoyed our time and the hot tub was great. Truly peace and quiet

We just had a little family reunion for the weekend. The kids loved the hot tub and the house was big enough for everyone to relax and just spend time together.

An amazing property. Very peaceful. Hot tub A+. Heating stove in living room was very effective and nice to quickly warm up inside after a night time hot tub soak on the patio. Easy access to all directions and in the gorge. Friendly check in. The only ‘issue’ was the comfort of the mattress, but that’s a personal detail/preference and very hard to please every single person. Sharon’s place was perfect for a quick weekend getaway for ourselves and two college aged kids. It is spacious with a very well equipped kitchen. The Dutch Tub is a lot of work but worth every minute of it for night time star gazing. We will definitely be returning!

Rich & Brittany have a lovely tiny house in a beautiful area! Their place is cozy, clean and has all the creature comforts, plus a nice big hot tub on a nearly wrap around deck and a big yard with a fire pit, with plenty of firewood, courtesy of R & B. If you're wanting to drive up a long and winding road in the mountains of West Virginia, to a cozy tiny house, that's "just right"? Then, Goldilocks will be much pleased! Fantastic location, beautifully crafted cabins. Spent a weekend celebrating my brother before his wedding next month. Hung out with Astro the dog and ate great food including ribs over the open fire. Also biked on the wheeling river trail down to the market. Jim and Jo Ellen were incredibly helpful and communicative. Thanks for sharing your property!

This place was everything we expected and more!!!! The view, the river, the peace and quiet cannot be overstated. This place is truly an escape from the city. Our family met up here from all over. Print out and study your maps! We got lost but ended up getting help from a kind neighbor and had quite an adventure.

What an absolutely lovely stay. The BnB is cozy, well equipped, and has an amazing view of the river right out the bedroom window. Not to mention the wonderful garden space! Sherry greeted me on my way in and saw me off before I left, and left me with a smile on both occasions. If I'm in town again, I know where I'll be hoping to stay!

This rustic, cozy cabin was the perfect spot for an impromptu weekend in the mountains for our family. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipt. It was cold outside but heating worked well! So appreciated the little conveniences provided, like dishwasher and laundry soap, paper towels & clear, easy checkout instructions. Great location in easy drive to Davis main street and skiing. Laura was a super responsive host. Would def return!

I just visited North Garden House in Lewisburg WV 4/4/25. It was absolutely beautiful, both inside and outside. The patio was quiet and peaceful. The house was warm and inviting. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. If you are looking for a getaway and some R&R then this location is it!!

Stayed at the bank house in mid April because I love to hike/trail run with my dog. Space was great with a close location to Otter Creek Wilderness, Thomas/ Davis and Black Water Falls, Dolly Sods, ect. Everything was excellent! Would stay again and would recommend!

The house was great for family members to gather and relax during what was a very emotional time. Hilary left fresh eggs for us, and they were delicious!

Friends and family members rented several cabins at Black Bear for a wonderful weekend! Joan’s description warns that AWD is needed at this time of year—and it is. 🤪. Maintenance at Black Bear was extremely responsive when one of our group had difficulty getting out of the resort due to snow/ice. Nice to have the covered back porch to take off snowy wet clothes/boots.

We had a great time and the check in process was seamless. Keith was proactive and very responsive.

My wife and I needed a trip away from the city for the long holiday weekend where we could enjoy some good activity in peaceful surroundings with our dog. This cozy pedestal cabin in Black Bear Resort was just what we were looking for. Check in was easy by picking up the keys at the resort lodge. The place had everything we needed to a cook a couple nights for ourselves, including the gas grill on the deck. The wall-mounted 4K flatscreen TV with Roku let us relax after three active days out and about in Canaan Valley while we listened to the thunderstorms roll over the mountains each evening. This would certainly be a fine place for folks (especially with kids -- there were two sets of bunk beds in the loft) to use a base for their WV adventures any time of year!

This was our second stay at Janel's place and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. We loved the fireplace and views from the A frame windows. The hot tub wasn't working unfortunately, but things happen and Janel was communicative about it. Had a great weekend regardless. Also love that Janel is accommodating of dogs. Our fur babies were happy to join us on our getaway.

Very comfortable home. Well laid out for many to enjoy together but still have private time. Kitchen exceptionally equipped.

Great location and the pool and fire pit were the perfect amenities to end a day of riding! The host was very responsive and made planning our trip, getting trail passes, check in, and check out seamless. We couldn’t find any extra supplies at the house (ie paper towels, trash bags, etc.) so recommend bringing some of the day to day basics with you. Would definitely recommend to others!

Second time we have stayed and have enjoyed each. Large farm house, is starting to show its age but that adds to the character. Pool and hot tub worked perfectly, Only 6 miles from Fayetteville. Great place for a large group on a rafting adventure.

Gwen’s condo was fantastic - the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. The condo was clean, homey, and stocked with the essentials. Gwen and Alan were extremely helpful and communicative - they made everything a breeze. It was great to be right next to night skiing with fresh snow. Will have to come back!
