The place is totally beautiful and suitable for a nice getaway from a busy city life. It’s peaceful and plenty of outdoor chilling area. The interior is tastefully decorated with personal touches. And Dale is so lovely to communicate throughout and understanding of our sudden change of situation. It’s hard to find such lovely hosts in Airbnb sometimes, so we are lucky to have met her!

The most amazing stay we've ever had! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. We walked into a cozy house beautifully lit by a fire place. Fresh milk and eggs were waiting for us, and they were absolutely delicious. Janeen was incredibly helpful. Our little one was kept entertained with plenty of puzzles, Legos, and toys. One of the highlights was the tour of the farm. Janeen and Adrian showed us the cows, the cow shed, explained how the milking is done, and even let our little one collect fresh eggs from the chickens. The view over the mountains was breathtaking, and the river nearby made the whole place feel like a peaceful retreat. The sunrise in the morning was absolutely stunning. The hospitality we received was beyond amazing. This was truly the best stay we've ever experienced, and we can't wait to come back!

The Tiny Colonial House is cozy and quaint. It has everything you need. It feels like a real escape. We loved it!

Ross looked after us so well, made it easy for us to check in and even put the heat pump on to warm the house for us - it was a super chilly day! The location is perfect and the cost very reasonable. Looking forward to coming back again Anne definitely recommended 👌

One of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed at. The house was very modern, super clean, and had everything we needed. It’s located in a beautiful area—very quiet and private. Also really close to Napier and the wineries we went to. Would definitely stay here again.

A supremely beautiful location. Our young boys loved the cows, sheep and deers. The house is incredibly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Hannah was also very accommodating and responsive. Thanks Hannah!

absolutely stunning property everything you would imagine a homestead to be, it was really grand inside put also warm and very comfortable. we have two children so it was nice to relax and let them enjoy the space. pool was great we had some fun imagine the summer months to be even better. Everything was as described. Rural location but only 5 minutes to Otaki. Peaceful location. Good parking etc and host was excellent.

We had the most restorative time at The Mars Barn! Was there on a girls retreat with my mum and we both agreed that the place couldn’t have been better. We had the best sleep we had all year, took advantage of the pristine pool each day and loved waking up to the sound of birds (after opening the doors) and looking out at the friendly goats! The space is so well designed for guests, feeling simultaneously out of the way and safe. Definitely hoping to make it an annual trip!

Wonderful farm stay with friendly animals specially the dogs. Our daughter loved to pet the dogs and feed the sheep. Stay was very calmful and Wendy is a super host. Will definitely come again with our parents in summer. Highly recommend
