How an airbnb should be. Anna & Brian have created such a welcoming, peaceful oasis with all of the personal touches that make staying here so wonderful. A short drive from Auckland and you feel you're in the middle of nowhere (in the best way). A bottle of wine, homemade cake & bread, breakfast provisions (so many eggs we couldn't finish them all) topped off with a well kept tennis court, pool & spa - in a gorgeous apartment-like setting, we couldn't have asked for more. A great place to stay.

Awesome value for space and convenient placing within Tauranga city. Beautiful walks near by and most importantly it was pet friendly. Drews an awesome host super quick to reply and kind to speak to. Thanks for allowing Wilson and I to stay

What an amazingly hand crafted house this is!! Jen greeted us so warmly and gave us a wonderful run down of the features and history of the barn. We were really inspired by Dowie and Jen’s creativity and self-sufficiency. Jen’s suggestion to check out a local private hot mineral pool was SO GOOD!! Our family loved the experience of spending time in a naturally heated pool with revitalising minerals. A truly unique experience staying here and a great location to visit Hobbiton!

Booked the barn to sleep my family of 6, however only 3 of us ended up travelling to Auckland over Easter. My 2 year old LOVED the animals on the property, it was fun to go pet & feed them in the mornings. My 16 year old, loved the arcade machine. It truly is as described. I found it to be peaceful and cosy with all the amenities a family would need. Plenty of things to do on/in the property. I hope to book again in future so those who missed out can enjoy this slice of paradise. Comfy beds, and enough room for everyone to have their own space to relax and unwind. Thanks for sharing your spot with us.

What a great stay for our family of 5 visiting Tongariro National Park. Convenient to food in National Park as well as all the hiing trails in the area. The Barn was very spacious and had eveything we needed in addition to being located on a lovely, peaceful property. We highly recommend choosing Tim's barn if you're in need of accomodation in the area and want something unique and cozy. Tim is a great host and goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable in your stay.

Such a wonderful stay. Only negative is that we couldn’t stay longer! If you’re looking for a home stay away from home, this is your place! We felt like we had checked into an old friend’s place. It’s a lovely home on a gorgeous setting. It ended up raining but Jen was so clever and gave us some alternative ideas which were amazingly fun (and we would never have found them if it hadn’t been for her suggestion). This is a hidden gem for sure!!

We had the most wonderful birthday stay at Natalie and Bruce’s place, the space was incredible, everything was spotless, and we had so much fun playing pool and using the hot tub. Would definitely recommend ☺️

The home is spacious but you do not feel disconnected. Beautiful surroundings and well equipt kitchen. The indoor outdoor flow gave as an additional seating area for dinners etc. Fabulous facilities could not think of anything else that would be needed there. Would highly recommend The Red Barn.

We had another fantastic stay at this accommodation and we look forward to our next stay in the near future.
