This was the warmest place in Winterton that we have ever stayed in with my team. The house was absolutely clean and hospitable as described in the images. There is absolute safety, comfort and homely touch.

We stayed here for our 10-year anniversary with our two kids and our little dog, and it was just perfect. Mornings were misty and magical—watching the sunrise while the kids tore up and down the road on their bikes. My wife got some good Comrades training in, and we all enjoyed the fresh country air and some bird watching. The cottage had everything we needed and was super comfy and clean. We made breakfast together, sipped wine by the fire in the evenings, and just soaked up some real quality family time. Phillipa is an excellent host and very responsive to all our questions, we would love to return here someday!

We had a great stay and loved our time in Winterton. Savannah was really helpful with our check in and Willem was on hand to assist with any requests we had. We would recommend this stay to anyone who would like to explore the area as it is wonderfully situated. We hope to be back in the future.

Beautiful scenery! We enjoyed our overnight stay at the cottage, breaking up our trip from Joburg to the South Coast. We woke up to beautiful weather and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and multiple seating areas. The evening was very cold but the heater and electric blanket helped. I recommend packing warm clothes and slippers. Shann was a great host, very helpful and responsive. We would come back to enjoy more peaceful time at the cottage.

We had an amazing, relaxing stay. Kathleen and Kobus made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They were extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. The cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed. The swing on the porch was an extra bonus. Our dogs loved the big, well-fenced garden and we walked around the property with them. Everything was perfect. Would love to visit again soon.

Had a beautiful stay at Highlands Farmhouse. The property is immaculate and has absolutely everything you'd need for a country side type holiday. The locals are extremely friendly. The farm house has a rustic, modern feel, and it's massive. The pictures of the house, and surrounds don't do it justice. We didn't want to leave.

Absolutely loved staying here. My girlfriends and I needed time away from the city, to relax and have a mini staycation and the honey cottage allowed us to have that experience! Definitely coming back

really great getaway. you get the feeling of being completely remote, but you are very close to amenities and loads of hiking and other outdoor activities.

It’s a one of a kind place. Everything we had hoped for. Secluded, lots of space, private en-suite rooms. Not to mention the beautiful views. The kids climbed and ran to their hearts’ content. Even a commercial grade ice maker. Jackson made sure we had everything we needed and was up early every morning to ensure the place is in order. We shall visit again.

Thank you so much - The Green Lantern was really lovely, it was beautiful and we had a warm welcome. Doggies and kids all welcome and it works so well in the tranquil setting. The food at the restaurant was very good - I have one recommendation though, if the menu could be sent and people can also order ahead specially since the restaurant only takes orders until 8pm. Loved the table tennis and the staff and chess.

We fell in love with this accommodation the moment we saw it. The farmhouse is rustic and cosy. We throughly enjoyed bathing in the antique claw foot bath. However, it is the land and stunning view of the mountain from the farmhouse door that took our breath away. Andi is a friendly and generous host, doing a wonderful job with her lion sanctuary. We were mesmerised, hearing her incredible stories and listening to the lions roar.

The Mountain View Villa was beautiful and such a peaceful place to be. Definitely got the relaxation needed! The house is as mentioned and so cute! Thank you for a wonderful stay and being such great hosts!!🌸

A better sign on the main road and checking the GPS on the Air BnB app are correct. otherwise great.

A little hard to locate with the driveway overgrown and the sign was not visible so really difficult to find specially at night. The host was extremely helpful and drove out to find us and take us in. The location was simply amazing, peaceful and I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Mooi River.

Lindsey was so welcoming and helpful. We did a last minute booking with her which felt smooth and easy. The place was lovely! Perfect for a two night stay over before heading back to JHB from our beach holiday. Lindsey even went the extra mile to source a certain plug I needed - what a gem! Thank you

What an interesting stay. It’s different, arty and colourful. We loved the cozy fireplace. It’s definitely unique. Fiona was very friendly and helpful and went out of her way to accommodate us.
