We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage! The jacuzzi and sauna were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The cottage was clean, well-equipped, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. The peaceful surroundings made it a great escape from the city. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

My family had the perfect weekend getaway at the Hemlock Hideway Waterfront. The cottage is beautiful and is very nicely decorated. It is equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed our meals together in the dining room, sitting in the sun on the private sandy beach, hanging out in the large family room and relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings. The water view from almost every room is breathtaking. Christine is a wonderful host responding quickly to any questions I had. We made some great family memories and would love to return.

Lesley was a fabulous host. Our family totally enjoyed our time staying right on the rivers edge with a stunning view. The cabin and bunkie have a cozy vibe but tons of room for our extended family. There are lots of amenities to enjoy creating a great getaway. It was a special experience- the setting, the peace and the memories made. Can’t wait to return!

I absolutely loved staying at Andrea’s cabin. It was so clean and well appointed. The beds were incredibly comfortable. It was cosy and warm… Absolutely everything was perfect. Thank you so much for hosting. My only tip is to make sure you bring your own shampoo and conditioner and body soap as there was none provided, and I didn’t notice that in the listing! Otherwise, I had absolutely everything I needed.

Heather went above and beyond to make our stay feel special with personalized touches. She even surprised us with a birthday cake to celebrate! She communicated effectively and responded quickly to our messages. The A itself is absolutely beautiful, cozy and very relaxing! The views of the lake are spectacular as well. We will definitely be returning!

Robert and Nicole were super friendly upon arrival. They showed us the place and things to do and explained everything perfectly! The outdoor shower was a 10/10 experience. I feel that everyone should stay here at least once!

We had a great stay at Stella’s place! Everything was as described. Comfortable bed. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great location close to Bala and Gravenhurst. Any questions we had were answered promptly. Would stay here again!

Had a fantastic stay over a snowed in family day weekend. The view from the living room at Baycrest is spectacular. It felt like being on the upper deck of a ship (without the rocking) in the middle of a winter storm. Cozey and wonderful with easy access to lions head. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Would reccomend

Patricia was a helpful host, very friendly and accommodating. Her place was peaceful, had a beautiful lake view. It was cute, cozy with rustic vibes. It was clean, organized, and had everything we needed. Also, the location is close to Screaming Heads and different hiking trails perfect for seeing the autumn foliage.

Enjoyed our stay at Glenn Burney Lodge. Owner was very helpful and communicative, proximity to restaurant was great, privacy and seclusion of cabin made us comfortable on a first trip with our dog that he wasn’t going to annoy others if he barked a lot (which he didn’t…yay!). Overall, a very positive experience.

We had a fantastic stay at the Little Lake Lookout. The hosts thought of everything. There were three adults and three dogs in our group, and every single one of us had a fantastic time. The fenced-in play area gave us peace of mind to let the dogs run together, and the waterfront location was beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the place was perfectly clean. Extra touches like fresh Kleenex boxes, the totally unexpected host gifts, and lots off towels ready at the door to wipe off the pups really made us feel at home. Coffee on the beach, enjoying a sauna and cold plunge, and having a campfire in the fire pit while the dogs played around us made for such a relaxing time. The separate room off the deck was a perfect spot for quiet & privacy when working. I planned to do a few hikes while I was up north, but we were so comfortable and content we didn't even leave the cottage. I guess we'll have to go back. I would definitely recommend!

An absolutely stellar place to get away from it all. The lake, just steps from the door, was beautiful and the small mouth bass we caught, tasty! We took our two older pups and they give it two paws up. They highly recommend lounging on the back deck to watch the ducks and beavers go by. We definitely recommend getting out on the water, looking back at the cabin you get to see just how amazing it all is. While rustic, Paul & Tannis have created an inviting space worth visiting...again and again.

This cottage is chic, serene and was lovely to unplug for a few days. It looks exactly as described. It’s tastefully decorated and thoughtfully laid out with a shuffle board, games, art essentials, a well-stocked pantry, plush bath robes. The wood stove inside and sauna outside was a bonus and great touch. The cabin is set amidst 100 acres of private land, we went on hikes, our dog loved it. It’s a short drive to Bracebridge town. We drove to High Falls in Muskoka which was beautiful. Taylor was super responsive. Can’t wait to come back.

Absolutely beautiful spot for a perfect cottage weekend. Mike is a fantastic host and I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and scenic fall season getaway.

We had a fantastic stay during a family visit to Stokes Bay. The place is spacious with a large kitchen, which was great for our group. We didn’t take advantage of all the amenities, but there was a great sitting area outdoors with a bbq and deck on the other side of the cottage. It was unfortunate the wifi was out as we also had limited cell reception due to the long weekend - but it was also nice to disconnect. We would stay here again.

We loved our stay! The cabin was exactly as described – clean, modern, and well-equipped. Stephen was super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. Check-in was a breeze. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Everything was fine. It an isolated remote community but that is fine with us. It was a little chilly the first few nights, but they turned on some heaters before we arrived, which was fine. You’re looking for peace and quiet. This is a good place.. I tried fishing by the docks, but they didn’t get any bites, but there is a bridge nearby and you can park and I caught a lot of fish in that location

What a gem. This is a beautifully rustic spot in the woods for a gentle getaway on the water. There’s a bit of a scramble up a hill from the brand new dock (with amazing swimming and lovely afternoon sun!) to a sweet little cabin - everything you need for a comfier-than-camping holiday. There’s all the kitchen basics you need, and the wood stove makes it super cozy. The lake is quiet and the neighbours friendly. It’s a great spot for a lazy day in the dock, or a more adventurous day trip into Massasauga provincial park. Geoff was very responsive when the power went out and offered to come up to fix it right away. But we preferred to spend our last night in the warm glow of candlelight and wood stove. Highly recommend.

Nicole was a fantastic host. Her place was super cozy and well supplied, has everything you could possibly need for a weekend stay. Highly recommend staying at boom-shack-a-la. 11/10.

We spent labor day weekend at the bunkie and absolutely loved it! It had everything we need with incredible views. The outdoor shower was lovely.

It is clear the owners have put a lot of care and thought to every aspect of a stay at their cottage. Outside, there were 3 canoes available with PFDs and paddles; the dock was perfect for fishing- we caught bass and sunfish, and catfish, plus we also swam too. Pool noodles and ample outdoor dock seating was also available. The outdoor seating and dining area was really wonderful and afforded a view of the river still but also surrounded by trees that sound so lovely in the wind. There are neighbors on either side but everyone keeps to their own and feels very private. The barbecue worked great and it was so thoughtful how there was a lighter and a spatula and tongs clean and provided for easy access. The place was stacked with things you may have forgotten at home like a post-swim q-tip or herbal tea. The forest across the street is uninhabited and was great for mushroom foraging. I would 100% recommend this place as it had exceeded our expectations at every turn.
