Perfect retreat high along the NC-TN line. Stunning views of the Blue Ridge from the deck and living room. Easy access to hiking and to the Appalachian Trail. Easy drivable access to Big Bald Mtn with views for miles. House is well equipped for a large group as far as towels, beds and dishes. Great hot tub right next to the deck for easy access. Very responsive host (within minutes). You do need AWD or 4WD to get up the steep driveway.

Daphanie was a great host! Very helpful and responsive to any inquiry we had. The house had everything listed and that we could have needed on our trip. Highly recommend!

My family of 12 stayed this past week and this truly may have been our favorite Airbnb find yet. I didn’t fully understand the benefit of staying in Wolf Laurel- but it’s a private gated neighborhood that gives you direct access to hiking on the Appalachian Trail- the backyard of this Airbnb literally puts you on it! We were able to drive up to Bald Mountain, summit it and walk down 4.5 miles back home!!! I have never stayed somewhere like that. The space provided plenty of places for our family to come together to cook, play pool and board games, relax in the hot tub, have campfires, play with our dogs, and space to be alone when needed to reset and recharge. The hosts were incredibly responsive and quick to help when we had a few last minute questions. We are very hopeful to return one day soon!

We have stayed at a couple of different places of Roberts and they have all been clean. They have all been uniquely decorated and very interesting and never cluttered. They have really thought of everything when it comes to your needs. They always respond to your text messages if you have any questions at all. The directions and check in instructions are always simple and perfect. We look forward to staying at this property again when we make it back to the area. The one thing that I must add to this is that the rooms and shower are much bigger than they appear in the photos listed. Thank You Rob, Jen and Monica for another great stay.

We stayed for a few days looking to hike with our dog, Mae. The place was very clean and the property is beautifully maintained. Marcus was exceptionally nice and accommodating. We hit some great hikes on the Appalachian Trail. Check out Roan Mountain via Carver’s Gap. Great trip!

Great cabin in Wolf Laurel. Home is just about a 5-7min drive to Hatley Pointe. We have stayed in multiple places in the neighborhood and this one does have easy access via gravel road. Gentle sloped driveway and alternate parking area if you use the neighbors drive. Home has lots of space. Great layout. Master bedroom bed is quite uncomfortable we ended up sleeping in the downstairs king bed. Kitchen is stocked, lots of personal belongings throughout. Reminded me of some of the Europe Airbnb’s we stayed at. Stairs to the basement/downstairs are sketchy at best. Our 4 yo actually fell down them from almost the top. One recommendation is if you have a wood burning fireplace, you should supply wood.

Our host were great. Made sure we had all we needed to enjoy our family vacation. We had to book this last minute because another place didn’t work out. This wasn’t a problem- we were able to book and drive straight over. This really relieved a stressful situation. Thanks!

Raven’s Roost was the perfect getaway for our family! We first booked with intent to ski/snowboard, but the weather didn’t cooperate with that plan. We rebooted for family time in the cozy cabin with great space to be together for dinner and games, but also space for quiet alone time! My family loves table tennis 🏓, a big bonus for us. We loved everything about Raven’s Roost and hope to visit again when the snow comes back. Colin was great to work with; responsive, friendly, with local recommendations…which we took advantage of. Highly recommend for cozy cabin getaway!

A rustic retreat in the mountains! The deck, views and hot tub were as relaxing as described, and would definitely come back to explore more hiking. Proximity to Hatley Pointe was ideal for our ski trip and the fireplace was perfect to warm up after a day on the slopes.

We were a party of 3 adults and two toddlers. A little tricky to get to, but the clear instructions helped. We loved the location, the peaceful surroundings, the fireplace, the hot tub and the little stream at the back. The kids enjoyed splashing in it.

It is always a pleasure to stay at Julie's. I was able to finally use the pool and the weather was nice enough where we grilled out and watch TV outside as we ate.

Everything was great! We got in later and it was such a nice feeling knowing our tent was set up when we arrived. The place was beautiful and clean. Gerard gave tips on local hikes and check up on us. We cannot wait to go again!

Spent about a month here for work and it was a great time for me and my dogs. Some amazing sunrises/sunsets !

Beautiful property- I would definitely try and find it during daylight hours as it may be hard to find at night . It was a bit too remote for my teen :) but I loved it. Appreciated there was not a lengthy list of checkout tasks

This place is so quiet and has everything you need to build a fire, cook on the fire or in the camper. We did both. The bed is super comfortable too. Johnathan and Sara were very responsive, and the surrounding neighbors are also great. There were nice seating areas, and wonderful views of the colorful fall mountains and Nolichucky river.

Summer gets 5 stars all around! Unfortunately, we were unable to stay due to the hurricane. Summer was extremely helpful and we look forward to our next visit. We will 100% be looking to book the same place! *****

Fabulous. The most beautifully decorated accommodation in a heavenly location. Bonny and Al are wonderful hosts and I'd be very sad if we never got to meet them again. So of course we must return. We were very busy with the plans that took us to North Carolina so only met Bonnie and Al a couple of times but we really felt we got to know them well. We were so surprised that everyone we met was just so wonderfully cheerful, positive and kind. We will have to return with no plans other than to explore the local towns and maybe hike to see more of the mountains and creeks. The cottage is just perfectly located with great views which means a sweeping drive up the lovely mountain roads and then an interesting drive up the mountain track which was daunting arriving in the dark but perfectly fine in daylight. We preferred the approach from Beans Creek Road making it easier to turn right into their driveway. Tip: Road to take is a track to the left of Beans Creek Freewill Baptist church.
