Our family enjoyed our stay. Property is updated and modern with many small touches which we appreciated considering it is so far away from stores, specifically the kitchen and the little extras most hosts do not include i.e. zip lock bags, spices, coffee. Would recommend and return. Kids (ages 7-16) had a great time.

Lake is peaceful. Use Apple Maps to get to location as Google takes you down a terrible bumpy road. Kayaking the lake was our favorite part. Dock was fun for fishing and grilling. Hot tub was on the other side of the property and had no privacy screen so it was not secluded which is what we would have preferred. If the neighbors would have been home it would have been super awkward. Bed had some sagging in the middle and didn’t have a zip closure mattress pad. Top of mattress pad was not clean either. If you desire a shower make sure not to book here but it wasn’t a deal breaker for us.

Perfect relaxing get away spot. Me and my fiancé loved this perfect to rekindle and take in nature. Would definitely want to come back.

Our friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Whiskey Barrel! The house was beautiful, super clean and had all that we needed! We took this trip so we could all “escape.” We definitely did that! We didn’t leave the property one time! This house checked all the boxes for us. There was so much to do to keep entertained. Pickle ball, kayaking, fishing, hot tub, darts, smart TV’s kept us entertained for our weekend. We brought our pups with us and it was nice that the front yard was fully fenced. If you are bringing pups, they will have to stay in the front yard (that is the only area fully fenced.) Perfect getaway house with everything you will need. Jennifer is a wonderful host and was super responsive! She even checked on us several times throughout our stay. Can’t wait to return!

Will boom again! Me and my husband live only an hour and a half away from Rebecca’s place. We wanted to get away for his birthday. I saw the soaking tubs at Rebecca’s place and knew it was the one. Close enough to town and far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. The bed was wonderfully comfortable the cabin was so lovely and comfy! And the sauna and soaking tubs gave us such a relaxing time! The drinking water is well water and Rebecca did warn us it wasn’t the best tasting. My only regret is I should’ve brought some bottled water with us. Was our first time using composting toilets, not a bad experience just different. :) We loved the surrounding trees and how peaceful and just wonderful the space was if you’re considering booking one of Rebecca’s cabins I totally encourage you to do so! Would love to return and book again in the future! Also she’s very quick to respond to messages as well!

The place is amazing; if you’re looking for a location to disconnect from daily life, this place is perfect. I loved it immensely and would gladly return. The hosts were incredibly kind.

Rebecca was a fantastic host and easy to communicate with. The cabin was nice with a great view of outside. The soaking tubs was the best part of the night and helped make a romantic setting. I'd recommend going here if you're looking for a peaceful quiet stay and enjoy the outdoors.

Stayed in the Sproul cabin, very nice setup along the lake. Great views and local, loved the fire pit at night and all the provided wood. We were in town for an event at nearby Barnwell mountain so didn't get to spend enough time at the cabin, but looking forward to staying next year!

Our stay was very relaxing, just what was needed during spring break and a getaway from all the turmoil. There is adequate cell coverage (T-Mobile, allowed for calls when needed.) There is no seperate wi-fi service but that is a refreshing plus. There is Dish TV if you really have to tune in to the talking-heads telling us how bad things are. Or, you can relax, read by the river; bring a guitar 'n make music on deck or in a screened room. OH! Chalk paintings on the driveway! :) Fun stuff. Kayaks are also available. Tours of the bayou and lake available, we used Aaron of Mystic Tours and had a great time. Keith has the number available in a large binder that with history of the area (a very good read if you take the time, for instance: Steamboats used to ply the waters through to Jefferson). There is also a photo album of the house construction that is pretty cool to thumb through. It is about a 30 minute drive to historic Jefferson which is a nice day trip.

Host was awesome! The house was amazing to stay in and very nice views of the water. We would love to stay again.

The place was very peaceful, tucked in from the main road giving you the private feeling. The home was very clean, felt new, and had all the amenities we needed. It was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the fire pit and lake view outside. There are a couple kayaks available on-site but we did not use them as it was too cold outside. The host Evolve was great with instructions and accommodation and very responsive. I defiantly recommend this place and will consider this place again when in the area.

This place was beyond wonderful. The extra amenities made the stay extra special. The unit was nice and clean and the property was very well maintained. It was very quiet and peaceful! Lori is by far, one of the best hostesess that I have encountered! Overall, this was an amazing stay. 10/10, I would definitely recommend!!!

Austin was a great host! This was the perfect place to stay while in town for a friend’s wedding.

Absolutely the most breath-taking, peaceful piece of paradise I’ve ever stayed at. The lake cabin was accommodating with every amenity we needed. The outdoor space was set up perfect for relaxing, grilling, fishing, boating, etc. We loved it so much we already booked our next stay!

The Lane cabin was just perfect. It had everything we could possibly need. It was clean well stocked we felt right at home. We were less than 10 miles from everything that we had planned to do. I would definitely come back and stay. Ernest was extremely responsive.

10/10 would recommend! We came for a date night and stayed an extra night because we enjoyed our evening so much!

Mary did an excellent job of setting this cabin up. Lots of birds and critters to see outside and the location was really quiet. Beds were comfortable and not sagging. Great shower. we didn't use the kitchen other than to make coffee and tea. if you have an electric vehicle, the outside outlet does not work. we'd stay again.

GREAT LOCATION UNDER PINE TREES ON A QUIET SPOT ON CADDO LAKE. PERFECT FOR KAYAKING RIGHT FROM THE PROPERTY INTO A SLEEPY RIVERLET THAT MERGES INTO STUMPY LAKE OR BIG CYPRESS. WE PLAN ON GOING BACK!

We spent three nights at Eve's cabin in mid-April. It was SO much more than listed, the photos don't do it justice. The house was spotless. LOVED the layout and it was decorated so perfectly, exactly as you would expect a cabin to be. It was just perfect for a weekend getaway. So peaceful and quiet. We spent most of our time on the deck, enjoying the peace and quiet. We fished a little, but mostly just sat and watched the water go by! We will definitely be visiting again.

Love the Retreat! Perfect place to unwind and relax. Super close to the water with kayaks available to explore for hours. It was clean and hosts were very responsive to any and all questions. The layout was open and kitchen stocked with most everything you need. Would definitely revisit and come back for another stay.

This is my husband's second month to stay at this beautiful lodge! Kids and I love to visit! As I said in my previous review, this lodge is sparkling clean and has everything we need for a more than pleasant stay. This place has a beautiful view and I really enjoy sitting on the front porch listening to nature and star gazing 😊. Kids enjoy fishing, sleeping in the bunk beds, and all the extras this place has to offer. Marla goes above and beyond with hospitality! I cant wait to come back for another peaceful visit 😊
