Extremely helpful and welcoming hosts, magnificent retreat and awesome terrace! the scale of ten points in not enough to describe this wonderful spot. This is an amazing property and the photos do not do it justice. Every bedroom (3) is spacious with comfortable beds and cheerful decor. The kitchen is super well equipped (the Krups coffee maker is a Porsche). The yard is full of roses, the pool is delightful, and parking was secure. Best of all, the young couple who built the house live next door. Nicoletta and her husband Bogdan are delightful. They made us fish delicacies on the outdoor grill. Bogdan took us in his boat (6 of us; fits 8-10) to the amazing beach at Gura Portitei, then waited many hours for us for less than the ferry costs. Meanwhile, people who had to work had excellent WiFi. It was a wonderful whirlwind visit and we will come back for a week next summer. NOTE: We traveled with our 4 adult children but this property would be especially great for two families traveling with young children. Cats, chickens, playground in the yard...Basically a rural paradise.

Halmaghe was a great host! He met us at the front gate, showed us the property and checked in on us throughout our stay. He even made us coffee in the morning and a snack! His property is great, safe and secure. Our rooms were cozy, and shower was excellent. He has a wonderful summer kitchen in the back of the property with great views of the wetlands area that stretches back to the Ukraine border. The outskirts of Tulcea is ten minutes away by car with excellent restaurants available, including one recommended by Halmaghe (which was excellent). All in our group were very pleased with the property and our hosts hospitality. Thank you again Halmaghe!
