We have stayed in many Airbnb’s in many countries, and this one by far is our favorite. When you arrive you take in the amazing view of São Jorge and the ocean, then you get a tour of the house. It is so well put together, spacious and comfortable we had a hard time leaving. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds and linens are so comfortable (We also loved the hammock.) and the bathrooms were large. But, the best part of the house is the host, Laura. She is a rare gem who wanted us to relax and enjoy our time on Pico. You could tell she takes great pride in hosting. If you have time, sit and talk with her. We cannot thank her enough for our great stay on Pico! ❤️

Laura’s Cottage is a fantastic base for exploring São Jorge Island. The house is thoughtfully designed, highly functional, and exceptionally well-equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The beds and mattresses were particularly noteworthy — very comfortable and clearly chosen with care. One of the highlights was waking up in the main bedroom to a breathtaking, unobstructed view of Pico Island (weather permitting) — a truly memorable experience. Germano was an outstanding host: proactive, thoughtful, and incredibly responsive. He reached out well in advance with a wealth of useful tips about what to see and do on the island, which made a real difference in shaping our trip. Throughout our stay, he remained attentive and helpful without ever being intrusive. I honestly couldn't recommend Laura’s Cottage more — it was a perfect stay in a magical place.

We fully agree with all the superlatives in previous reviews: luxurious house at the foot of the forest with breathtaking view of the ocean. Very private and very well maintained. Our children who were studying for exams during the stay pronounced the WIFI excellent and were thankful the house had a separate room with a big desk where one could study, paint, etc. The wooden fire is easy to light and ample wood is provided. The AC wall-heaters provide additional, more than sufficient, heat in case you consider renting as us in late December. The host Jorge was extremely responsive from start to finish. We have stayed at quite a lot of places via airbnb and could say with confidence Jorge’s hospitality was unprecedented. Such a nice person! We have never been to the Açores and Terceira before but after spending 10 days here believe Biscoitos is the best location, especially for people who like hiking, nature and appreciate home cooking in family restaurants! Recommended 100%!

What a great place and the host was amazing. Simple cottage that was perfect for the two of us. The walk to go into Velas - down and up the hill - was challenging especially with backpacks full of food and beverages. But by the third day, we were getting the hang of it. The view from our deck was fabulous...the town, ocean and the islands, sunsets are lovely. Obrigada Aldeia.

Even before we arrived, we had the feeling that we were warmly welcomed. We received all the necessary information in advance. The house is on a quiet street. The view, the pool and the evening atmosphere are indescribable! At around 10 p.m. the Cory's Shearwaters come back from hunting and hold their "concert" for about 30 minutes. A unique experience that is rare outside of the Azores. The house is very well equipped, you can cook really well and there are also great restaurants not far away. It was super clean. We were given a very warm welcome and everything was explained and shown to us thoroughly. We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house!

Wow. Just...wow. A beautiful, home in an absolutely stunning setting. Everything felt new and clean with modern but inviting architecture. The view from the kitchen/living room/balcony is gorgeous and peaceful. The pool is lovely and just steps away. The place was immaculate and Cleide, who manages the property, is absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. The house is a few minutes walk or drive to natural pools, outdoor natural pools, and a small but very cute market for groceries. Every morning, Cleide left us a box of fresh pastries and cheese and meat for breakfast. We loved this property and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take a deep breath and maybe do some dolphin and whale watching :)

Hugo's apartment was truly exceptional – one of the best I've ever stayed in! The place was beautifully furnished, fully equipped, and offered everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The sauna and pool were spotless and made for a truly relaxing experience. What made this stay even more special was the warmth and kindness of Hugo's parents. They were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. Their hospitality truly elevated the experience. If you're looking for a perfect getaway with top-notch amenities and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to be. I would highly recommend it to anyone and would love to return in the future!

I did not stay at this particular property, because upon my arrival the water heater broke down, so Salvador hosted me at his another property next to this house which was simply super-amazing and felt literally like home because it was stocked with everything you can imagine. I can say that Salvador is super-responsive host and that it's a very good location, with an amazing view of the sea and the Sao Jorge island. The house is located in a real Pico village, without any of the tourist staff but with all the amenities within 10 minutes by car. Highly recommended!
