This art museum is exceptional for hosting unusual artists. Check out the Artwalk dates online. Local merchants serve wine so that visitors can see the rich and varied galleries in the Post Office and Strand area. Check a brochure for galleries outside the central business district area.

GAC is Galveston’s only visual arts organization with a permanent location, curated, rotating exhibitions, a full-time staff, and free admission at all times. Focusing on emerging and established regional artists in a variety of disciplines, GAC produces 12- 24 innovative exhibitions each season, reaching up to 50,000 visitors annually.
