Can't miss it - its a boat! Serving great breakfasts, brunch and pancakes/waffles through the day.
The Albatross is a converted Dutch sea-going barge, now has a great bar and also sells food, including the BEST pancakes!
Definitely one of the quirkiest dining experiences in Wells, the Albatross is a former Dutch cargo ship, moored at the Quay. Drop in for a pint and watch the tide come in, or try one of the famous dutch pancakes. Live music on Friday and Saturday nights.
Best for sundowners. Pancakes also delicious. If you are without kids go there late on thurs, fri and sat and enjoy the music
Once a working dutch boat it is now docked in the quay. It's lively at the weekend offering live local bands. Serves local ale and dutch pancakes. Best to sit out on deck watching the sunset.
Its great fun, you can sit on the deck and watch the sunset. They often have live music which is great.
The iconic Albatros is a unique venue, whether popping in for a coffee, lunchtime pancake or watching a live band on Friday night. A must see, must do whilst in Wells.

“Cookies is a little cafe and fish shop on the coast road in Salthouse. It's a bit of a local secret. I always make a beeline for it whenever I'm up in Norfolk. It has amazing seafood platters. There is space to sit outside in the summer and a little cafe for inclement weather. They don't have a license but are happy for you to bring a bottle of something chilled. Warning - it's very little and local so they may not have crab or lobster if the weather is too rough for the boats to go out, and they may close if they have nothing to sell - especially on Mondays. But if you're in luck, you're in for a treat!”
