Kagurazaka is a 20 min walk away. An area packed with great Japanese izakayas, udon, seafood, sushi, backstreet yakitori places and nice small bars. Some nice upscale restaurants as well. A favourite among locals and expats alike. Good for Fridays and Saturdays!
“Cute side of Tokyo” Brilliant and lively bohemian streets of Tokyo. Lots of nice little restaurants, cafes and the like. very charming district. Only 6 minutes by train.
This area is a high quality Japanese food restaurants area especially in back alleys. Actually it's in Shinjuku section but a few stops away from Shinjuku station. Also there are some specific shops too.

In the evening they put make up and silk kimono for banquets.
