A lovely, scenic walk from Cronulla will take you to Bass & Flinders Lookout. You can swim and snorkel at the small beach, and see across the water to Bundeena.
The Explorers Matthew Flinders and George Bass sailed in the Tom Thumb up the river the Port Hacking. They named it the Port Hacking after Henry Hacking, the principal game hunter in the colony who told the explorers of a large river he had seen inland on a kangaroo hunting expedition.
