This museum was made to display the sizable collection of Nezu Kaichirō, much of which is tea bowls and tea related. It’s a sizable place, designed from classic Japanese architecture with a modern twist. Among all the boutiques and luxury stores in the Aoyama neighborhood, you’ll be a little surprised to see the bamboo trees around the museum. I particularly like this museum for the gorgeous, huge Japanese-style garden. It’s often called an oasis in the city, and it’s excellent for a casual stroll. The famous Daishikai Tea Gathering uses the tea houses that are dotted across the garden every spring.

Schulz Museum and Research Center in Santa Rosa, California, a mecca for Peanuts and Snoopy fans, is proud to announce the opening of the world’s first “Snoopy Museum” in Roppongi, Tokyo on April 23rd, 2016. Despite its urban location, the Museum sits in a beautiful and quiet environment, just like the Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa."”

“The Taro Okamoto Memorial Museum, in Minami Aoyama, is the original home and studio of the famed artist of the same name, and the darling of Japan's New Ageists. Visitors can see Okamoto's studios and a garden of sculpture featuring his very distinctive creations. (See photo of sculpture below.) Taro Okamoto Memorial Museum is accessible from the Aoyama 5 intersection of Route 246. Head down Kottoh-dori Avenue and at the third set of traffic lights turn left then first right.”
