The thermal pools are very clean and are drained and refilled every night. Situated 25 minutes south of Rotorua off SH5, perfect place to relax and unwind. The largest single source of 100% pure geothermal water in NZ. There is also a cafe on site.

Our favorite hot pools. These are located 30 minutes out of town and you will need your own transport to get there. They are in the middle of no where, cheaper than the town pools and usually more quiet. They have a restaurant and sell beer, what more could you want?

Thermal Pool Complex The pure spring water cascades into a hot pool complex with a choice of six bathing options, in a natural setting, with pool temperatures ranging between 35 and 40°C. Private Spas You can treat yourself to a private spa, with tranquil native bush and geothermal valley outlook and individual temperature controls. Te Manaroa Spring Eco-trail Enjoy a short family friendly walking trail to the spectacular bubbling Te Manaroa Spring, the source of pure geothermal water. Discover unique geothermal botany and geology unique to this area. Fully Licensed Café The Pukeko in a Ponga Tree Café serves snacks, light meals, coffee, drinks and ice cream from 12-7pm daily, with both indoor and outdoor seating areas overlooking the pool complex and valley.
