CBEC is a destination for environmental education and recreation in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Go hiking, birding, or kayaking. 510 acres preserve, explore the natural history of the Eastern Shore and local conservation efforts while hiking scenic trails, birdwatching and kayaking/canoeing.

30 min drive to several nature parks with fun walks / beaches for the kids on the Eastern Shore (will require fee to cross Bay Bridge, best to go on a week day to avoid beach traffic). At this location, there is a rehab program for owls / raptors.

Rent Kayaks, nature walks, small nature center. Family memberships are very inexpensive and include all of the kayaking that you want.
