Fresh fish here! Most of the fish is caught right off the harbor located around the corner. They also sell poke bowls!

This is the best place on island to buy the absolute freshest, line-caught local fish. Expand your world from the usual but delicious Ahi and Ono and try Opakapaka (Pink Snapper), Uku (Blue-Green Snapper), and Opah (Moonfish) Do not go home without some locally-farmed Kona Shrimp (keep the heads on and grill them whole.) And if they have Monchong (Sickle Pomfret) - just buy it -- this deep sea fish eats shrimp and you can taste it in the soft, flaky, delicate fillets. Now relocated across the street from the picture above in the Kawaihae Harbor shopping center -- just down from Kohala Burger and Taco and the Shave Ice store.
