For one, it’s free! As a pupil of Rodin and a teacher at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, a famous art school in Montparnasse, Antoine Bourdelle produced a number of monumental works, including the relief friezes at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. Some rooms here feature impressive sculptures up to 32 feet high. Check out the museum’s very well produced videos about the stages and techniques of bronze casting from clay or plaster works.
