There are two River rafting compaines in Tahoe city, both are good. Check in advance to make sure they are open

Really fun adventure to take your kids on in the summer or to experience with a group of friends. This company will provide free parking, a shuttle bus, paddles and life jackets for folks 2 years and above to then float down the river. Beautiful views and always plenty of fun people to meet during the rafting.

Favorite thing to do in the Summer-- a must! Pack a cooler with beer and hit the deli.

This is a mellow float trip starting in Tahoe City and ending about 2 hours later (faster if you paddle) at the River Ranch Lodge and restaurant. Kids welcome. No skills required. Prices Reasonable. Start mid-morning so you can enjoy a burger/libation at the lodge before they shuttle you back to your car.
