Great Place to take the kids to see animals. The Forsyth Nature Center has 24 animal exhibits and a dozen gardens that contain a variety of native flora found right here in the Hudson Valley.

This is such a sweet spot! It's a sanctuary for birds and farm animals that's free to visit (you can also bring veggie scraps and bread to feed the animals)
