Hike to the abandoned La Manche village and walk across the ocean on a restored 50 metre suspension bridge. The area offers spectacular views for bird watching, otters, pebble beaches, a waterfall and stunning coastline. Pack a lunch and have a picnic by the ocean. There is also a swimming hole with fresh water near the bridge. Many opportunities to capture a beautiful photograph! The popular destination has several access points.

It is a 30 minute walk into the suspension bridge. It is a very rocky and uneven trail. Make sure you watch your footing. This location is approximately 56 kms from St. John's. When you get into the bridge, there is a swimming hole as well as other walking trails.

An old destroyed then resettled community and one newer bridge to unite it. A short hike from Bauline East (45 min). Well worth the visit, and a swimming hole just behind it
