The closest beach is Playa de Sant Sebastià just outside Barceloneta. However, if you want a more peaceful experience (less people that want to sell you things etc.) you should go further north.

Located next to Sant Miquel Beach, Sant Sebastià is one of the largest and oldest beaches in Barcelona. The part of the waterfront houses some of the most important sports clubs in Barcelona. Sant Sebastià and Bogatell beaches are normally visited by older people. Moreover, it also has a nudist area like Mar Bella Beach. Another interesting fact about this beach is that it has an area for people with reduced mobility, where volunteers help them enjoy the Mediterranean Sea thanks to the amphibious chairs available.
