When we first moved to Colorado Springs, we went and did this hike. At that time, it was the hardest hike we had ever done and the most beautiful. We saw a waterfall, beautiful Aspens, and a lake. It has a lot of elevation so bring good shoes.

We are so fortunate to be in walking distance from this trail where you will find sparking waterfalls and incredible mountain views that await you on this challenging and beautiful trail hike.

Catamount Falls is a great view of the peak with water below. Parking is a little far away from the trailhead. You have to follow the road up to the trailhead. Do not park in the neighborhood, they will have you towed. Once you get to the trailhead, follow the blue trail to the reservoir. It’s a must do if you are here in the fall because the aspens are a beautiful yellow color.

great hike in Green Mountain Falls, 10-15 min drive from the Air bnb. Lots of elevation gain! We also recommend doing this hike early and eating breakfast or lunch at the Pantry in GMF!
