You seriously can’t get a better view of the Bay than from this area. The stairs kick your butt, but every time you make it up to the top and turn around and see the Bay and Palace of the Fine Arts and some of the Presidio, it’s a great reward and pumps you up to go for another round. Do one set of stairs and then at the top do three sets of 15 push-ups. Then walk back down the stairs. Sprint back up. Do some air squats. Do planks. I’d say about four or five rounds of stairs with three sets of 10 to 15 exercises in between. It should take about an hour.

Great destination for an urban hike, the stats offer a spectacular view down to the bay and you can easily extend with a walk into the Presidio which is adjacent.

A very special street that becomes pedestrian-only steps for two blocks. Its great for a stair workout or to take in the view. Can you guess which house in Nancy Pelosi's (hint: its the one with all the cameras)? If you are here with kids, let them pop-into the presidio to run around.
