Beautiful views for a stop on route whilst out walking. The cafe is great and there is also a little ice cream van for the kids ( and big kids!) .

Monsall Head has beautiful walks along the river valley and viaduct, with amazing views from the Monsall Head pub at the top of the hill

A delight to visit. A beautiful walk from the cottage, through two tunnels. (Look out for the glorious views between the tunnels down to Water-cum-jolly and the river Wye below you. Best viewed from above (Walk up to the Monsal Head pub) or beneath (from the footbridge that leads down to the River Wye). If walking beneath, you may want to carry on the weir 0.5 miles along the river- great place for a picnic and photos. Or walk up to Monsal Head for an icecream or lunch at the Monsal Head walkers bar.
