Fun place to have a drink and fish and chips. Deep sea fish (marlin, swordfish, tuna etc) are brought in to weigh from 4pm. Call ahead to find out what time weigh-in is.

There's a great restaurant at the Anglers Club - only a short drive from Matapouri. Inexpensive but hearty food in a friendly environment.

Watch the game fish being weighed, sit outside on the deck, bar meals are large and tasty - service is quick, live music on public holidays, pool tables, darts, favourite hangout of fisherman and yachties!!
