One of our favorites. Hearty food where the locals go for dinner. Highly recommended. Medium price range. (Bairro Alto, Tram: 28)

home style restaurant. dishes out hearty and tasty fare from Portugal's northern Minho region, and the Alentejo, in the south of the country.

Typical good portuguese food in Bairro Alto.

The owner Manel is a charismatic figure of Bairro Alto. Actually, people travel from all over the country to try the “Feijoada de Javali” (wild boar stew) in this typical local restaurant. Ask for the wine list: its one of the best in town!
