One of the best art collections in the world, it belongs to the Pamphili family and is in the same palace, on via del Corso. The other Pamphili palace is on piazza Navona.

The Doria Pamphilj's own mansion, as it was when they lived there (in fact they still do, in a wing of the building). Right off the Via del Corso in the middle of the center of Rome is a spectacular display of the family's art, you'll find both Caravaggio, Vasari and Tiziano on the walls here.

Not as famous as the Vatican, but this museum keeps some of the most valuable artistic treasures in Rome, including Caravaggio and Velasquez. Lovely especially because of the more intimate experience.
