A historical landmark est. in 1959 and fully operational, The Montgomery County Airpark (GAI) is for the upscale business or personal traveler who enjoys a central location 17 miles from the Nation’s Capital. An almost mile-long runway is the classiest way to jet into town for shopping in Downtown Bethesda for designer boutiques just 20-minutes away. Perhaps catch a Metro Red Line Train from Shady Grove Metro Station into Washington D.C. to watch a Nationals game. Grab a bite to eat at the Airport Café, which serves breakfast and late lunches. Or have a full meal at the on-site restaurant. Visitors may also have viewing access to live-time aircraft operations on the outside deck.
