“Jerry Greene, after graduating Cornell University in June, 1970, set off on radio career quest. He created Community radio KOTO, then crafted another enduring Telluride Institution. The Bakery was founded in 1976 in an historic warehouse on South Fir. The beat up old bakery burned to the ground in February 2009 and in fifteen months was operating again at the same location, in its fabulous new building. The Bakery continues to run its full breakfast-lunch-dinner pasta pizza operation, large orders, and light catering.”
